The only issue with using a type of power dampening collar on her, would be that when she is phasing she shortens out machines, and in that fraction of a second before it kicks it, it would just short out!

Hello Everybody!

My name is Chris Garrett, I'm the writer for the comic book series 'Turbulence' (www.turbulencecomic.com)

I've recently decided to try my hand at writing a novel after publishing my first two issues. While the artist are hard at work on issues 3 and 4 of Turbulence, along with a second series in the making, I thought I'd kill some time by writing a book!

However I've hit a bit of a road block, and thought I would come to comic vine for help, hopefully this is the best section to post this in.

Here is the situation!

The novel is, of course, a superhero fiction. It resolved around a car thief (Nothing special, not a super thief or anything) who happens to break into a house and steel a powerful item from somebody he shouldn't be messing with.

Here is my issue though, I'm suffering from 'bat cave syndrome' every time I rewrite the scene where he goes to get the item, it turns into a 'secretly finding the batcave' type of thing, and I hate it!

It isn't unique, it isn't awesome (ok it was, the 20 times it happen in batman, but still) but most importantly, it's lame.

So what I'm looking for is to brain storm on this with ya'll, let's craft an awesome way to break into a place holding an item that you take which ends up granting you powers, while you had no idea about that at the time.

More information for the novel is available on request, and once again I apologize if this is not the best section for the post.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,
Now put your thinkin' cap on!

-Chris Garrett

 Hey guys!
It's been a long long time, first off thanks for all the support a while back when I went for 'Who wants to be a superhero' it meant alot hehe.... So onto business but first a picture to get you focusing!

Pretty cool huh? It's from my new comic- Turbulence.

I'm working with a website called Indy Comic Book Week (http://www.indycomicbookweek.com). As you may know on December 30th Diamond Publishing is having a 'no comic week' they will not be shipping Marvel/DC/Image ect..'s comic books- the indy comic community is working to turn this from a week of no comics to a week of Indy Comics.

Our goal is simple, have as many comic shops as possible agree to carry indy titles this week- from there creators will use the website to contact each store in hopes of selling their comics. There is even works going on for a shopping cart style system for stores to use to make this whole situation even easier.

Everybody wins, Indy creators get to sell their comics, stores have something to carry for a week, and comic fans wont come into a shop with an empty wall and will instead of a slew of new titles to check out.

I'm asking you guys to talk to your local shops, point them to the Indy Comic week website and ask them to join us so everybody can benefit from this! Who knows they may find a new favorite title and you can too!

Oh and -incoming cheap plug- my comic book 'Turbulence' will be in most comic shops here in Austin, TX.  As well as most shops that join the free comic book day website!

Thanks alot guys

I know this happened...I can't remember any issue numbers but yea the professor was in love with her. It came up once way back when, but I have an issue with cyclops and jean kissing on the cover on their wedding day. Inside at some point Jean is thanking the professor for acting as her dad and he has this inner monologue about how hard it is to mask his feelings.

It was soooo awesome!!!

I'll update everybody ASAP but I just wanted to tell you I invited all the heroes to comicvine.com and it was a blast!

I hope so have pictures (and details) up soon.

It's good to be home, though I do miss hanging out with heroes such as Elamintist and Red Shift.

Good times, good times.
