Everybody Who Reads Comics Is A Nerd?

Seriously, this is crap.

Just because you like comics your a nerd?

Well, thats stupid IMO.

I never like to think of myself as a nerd, though I admit I used to act nerdy all the time.

I don't act as nerdy now because I lost interest in school.

When we first start school we all like it, until...

It gets lame.

I used to be a total science geek, I'll admit it.

But I was just 5.

Either way, as I grew older, science became less interesting to me.

But everybody who likes comics or video-games is a nerd?

Okay, this isn't about me loving school when I was 5. This is about how I hate when people are "nerds" because they like comics.

If thats true, a ton of people who like to call themselves "stronger" than me (this one annoying guy always did that, and trust me, he wasn't) are really the biggest nerds.

It's not like there obsessed with comics, though. They're all obsessed with video-games, anime, Mario Bros, DBZ, etc.

One of them even told me he was a clone of Batman one time.

Whats your opinion on this?

That's just an opinion. Some ppl just consider reading comic books as nerdy. Nerd's are proud to be nerds these days anyway.

Personally I think some comic-readers are nerds, and others cpuld just read comics, they don't have to be nerds.

Like with gaming.

If you game once or twice every few months are you a nerd? Nope.

So, really, if you read comics every now and then, you aren't that nerdy.

How many threads like this are there. Plus they aren't just for kids. If that guy is bullying you just tell the counselor or tell him what you just said.

A nerd is an enthusiast. Anybody can be an enthusiast in anything. Fantasy football, video games, TV wrestling, etc.

The term nerd means: a person, typically described as being overly intellectual, obsessive, or socially impaired. Over the years it has evolved into pop culture as referring to people who play video games, read comics etc..... So simply ask yourself this:

Am I: overly intellectual, obsessive, or socially impaired. If not then you're not a nerd you're simply someone who enjoys reading comics as a past time (like most of us normal readers).

I don't really see the need to freak out about it anyway. The term is thrown around so much now its lost all meaning.
