@sethysquare: Uh, I'm pretty sure the Martian Manhunter's fan base is at least comparable to that of Aquaman. And besides, I thought that it was the New 52 that made Aquaman really popular, so maybe it isn't just that Aquaman is a great character, but that the writers are fantastic?

In my opinion, Martian Manhunter is a great character without the Justice League, Stormwatch, etc. But he really does add a lot to the Justice League, so I'm glad that he'll eventually be joining.

@Jezer: I agree that Nolan Batman wouldn't fare anywhere near as well as comics Batman, but surely he must know something of wrestling. After all his martial arts training, I don't see how he could possibly have skipped out on takedowns and submissions. I think they just left it out of the movies because it would be less entertaining to watch Bane and Batman wrestling each other.

@Oni_Bane: Well, seeing as you have stated your point, you must expect everyone else to either state that they agree or disagree with you (otherwise, why would you have made a thread for this?).

The reason I love Batman is not simply because he is the pinnacle of human fitness, that he's the world's greatest detective (I like mysteries), or that he has dashingly good looks. It's because his greatest strength is his willpower. He shows that you don't have to have special genes to succeed. Of course, the fact that he inherited his billionaire status enables him to be Batman more "realistically," but that's not the point. In the end, it's his determination that defeats his foes. That's inspiring to me, because it makes me believe in the ability to achieve anything through my will, a limitless resource.

@ltbrd: I totally agree with you. My dad is one of those people, who for whatever reason, believes everything Rush says. It's sad that his common sense has gone right out the window. I'd really like if Rush would at least stick to politics so that people like my dad aren't fed misinformation about every aspect of their lives.

I'd be fine with the show if it weren't for the animation. I'm not sure if it's this show, but Batman's head makes him look like a bug! (As in, his head is short and wide and his bat ears are long enough to be antennae).

I really hope that the reboot emphasizes movement rather than just force. I mean, sure, the fight scenes in the Nolan films were great, but they were wild brawls. I've always imagined Batman's fights as graceful dances, or games of chess. Unfortunately, with the armored suit in the trilogy, he can't really move around quickly. Plus, it seems like all his training was in boxing, seemingly only throwing wild hooks and uppercuts with the occasional forward "heel" kick. Then again, what do I know, because that's actually quite similar to UFC fights, and they're the best fighters in the world.

Like most everyone has said, I think Batman listens to classical music. Although, I can't imagine him listening to Mozart. More like Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, or Dvorak.
