@lets_jam: I think that we can safely assume that Illyria is at least mystical enough to where the Soul Sword would hurt her. Yes in the Buffy TV shows, demons were more like otherworldly animals and not so much mystical, but I think that its safe to say that even there Illyria had enough magical energy for a magical damaging weapon to cause harm.

@blacharrt: You're right a solid kill shot from the Sword would probably kill her but that half the point of the battle right? IF Illyana can manage to get her hands on Illyria long enough to use the Sword effectively. That's much easier said then done I think
@fodigg: Exactly! She can be as powerful as she wants and have all the military knowledge that exists, if she doesnt follow any orders and doesn't respect the chain of command then shes no better then one else on that island.
