@Squares: the fact that she was kept as a slave was the original story as told by Corsair back in the 80's. In Deadly Genesis it was retconned that she died was removed from her. Again, there's also the creator Fabian Nicieza saying that this original intention was dropped and ret-conned.
And true I could have altered the page just to prove you wrong, but why would I bother? That would make me a douche, and I would rather just be right. I'd be happy to admit that you are correct, but after your original comment I DID MY RESEARCH on here, wikipedia, marvelwikia, marvel.com, not to mention my own actual issues of Deadly Genesis. You know, X-man just came back...what if OUR Cable gets his mind put in X-man's body and he joins the New Mutants again. It would keep with the trend of former New Mutants returning to the team (hello Rahne anybody?) and would be a great twist for him to rejoin as a peer not as an older leader.
The teaser picture with the arm could be just that...a teaser...but who know?
I don't think they should have gotten the rights to them but I think some sort of royalty would have been nice...they don't deserve to own the characters but a little bit of money from them wouldn't hurt anyone...
I agree with you completely! And that what I hope we take from M-Day eventually. Eventually mutants will populate again (via Hope or Wanda) but not everyone will have such a fantastic power level that they defy definition.
For Iceman, I dont suggest depowering or reducing him...just write stories that use him better! Emma gets to keep her diamond form...Its fantastic! I could definitely be down with human Beast for a while for sure!
And thank god they've gotten rid of stupid secondary mutations like Angel's healing powers (which got ignored into non-existence)
if adam x is not related to corsiar heis not a true summers since the father is the blood summers and the mother is just married into the summers. hope is also not a summers .

Intended to be the third Summers brother, Adam-X's mother was Katherine Summers who was abducted by ' D'Ken, the Shi'ar emperor, his father. Erik The Red revealed to X-Treme that he was the heir to D'Ken's Shi'ar throne. After his mother was murdered by D'Ken, Adam-X was raised by a farmer named Jonath on the planet Ch'reesharaa. However the writer of the series whom introduced Adam X left the series and the character before he could reveal that Adam was the third Summers brother, and so it was retconned. This means that Adam X has no ties to the X-men Cyclops or Havokand the third Summers brother has been revealed to be Vulcan.

Also, according to Deadly Genesis, Katherine was pregnant with Vulcan when they were abducted and she died while he was still in her womb with Vulcan being torn from her and aged in an incubator...so when exactly did she and D'Ken have this love child?
Not to mention that Fabian Nicieza has been quoted that that was ORIGINALLY the plan but it has since been ret-conned away like most of his other plans for the mid-90's. So which creators (besides this creator of the character himself) have stated this undeniable fact?
@cosmo111687: @theselfproclaimednerd: Exactly! I normally dont even give the DC comics a second glance but that freebie really wet my whistle for whats to come in "that other company" :) LOL! Its too big a change and I am too obsessed with X-men to just switch over to DC from Marvel, but don't be surprised if you see a blog or review or two about the new line...I am very intrigued by Justice League written by Geoff Johns (Avengers) and art by Jim Lee (X-men). Its like this entire @Nighthunter: relaunchis geared towards towards not just NEW readers but current readers of Marvel...and after how they're screwing us with this Fear Itself debacle, I don't mind a little pandering to us Marvel-ites, think of it as comic reader head hunting :)
@riri4life: She counts as a Summers child but she doesnt make the list since she never made it to 616. Rachel and X-man are alternate realities but they acutally made the trip to 616 and became part of the dysfunctional Summers family unit. Same thing with Ruby Summers. Definitely a Summers child but not part of this timeline
@Squares: X-man is in there and Hope is adopted so technilcally not a Summers by blood...ADAM X IS NOT A SUMMERS. He was a dropped storyline. Supposed to be the 3rd brother but was pushed to the side for Vulcan instead.
I didn't expect that Adam X had such a following...everyone is really bent on him being a Summers....alas 'tis not to be :)
