A native of the extremely distant world metal world of Ironstar, Glitch is a veteran of a long and devastating civil war on the exclusively mechanical planet between the Mils created by Doctor Exavolt in an attempt to advance machine society beyond it's limits and the Droids who rather objected to being enslaved to provide the resources needed to do this. Most of the droids were helpless against the Mil's superior military might, but a band of rebels lead by Colonel Alloy helped the robots defeat their other mechanical overlords.
Sometimes the most destructive packages are the smallest.Glitch was found deactivated with largely fried memory chips by the rebellion in a pile of junk and was brought back to base to be repaired and given a data upload that brought him up to speed on current events. Not long he was repaired, he volunteered to serve in the rebellion's armed forces despite lacking any formal training, and Colonel Alloy, being desperately short on troops, accepted him and sent him off to the war.
Glitch would prove to be an enormously effective combatant due to his superior agility, his chassis' ability to accept on field modifications easily, his sheer tenacity, and the fact that by and large; the Mils were exceedingly stupid and breathtakingly incompetent, though very numerous and came in all shapes and sizes. Over the course of several weeks, Glitch travelled all across Ironstar to aid the rebellion, leaving vast piles of scrap metal wherever he went.
Steadily growing more powerful as he took more and more upgrades into his body and weaponry, Glitch carved an oily swathe through the Mils, boosting the spirits of the Droid Rebellion while prompting the none too bright command chain of the Mils to appropriate more and more resources to trying to defeat him, and bungling their attempts almost every step of the way.
Over the course of his adventure, he blasted apart zombie bots, explored the deepest of mines, saved the rebellion multiple times, drove a small army's worth of vehicles, manned a copious number of turrets, left an uncountable number of enemy machines as nothing more than smoking scrap, and found that Ironstar's moon was actually a Mil space station with an enormous disc painted to look like a moon stuck to it's side.
Eventually he defeated Doctor Exavolt and his vile creation, the colossal General Corrosive, the puppet leader of the Mils that Exavolt had used to draw attention away from himself as he plotted to spread his vision of reality to the rest of the universe. Soon after Corrosive's defeat, the droids were victorious and overthrew their enslavers, but the nefarious mechanical Doctor Exavolt fled Ironstar in a space ship.
Glitch now hunts for Exavolt across the stars, going from planet to planet and galaxy to galaxy to hunt down the mad scientist robot before he can enact his diabolical schemes. As he travels across the universe he also takes the time to bring out good old fashioned Ironstar style justice to the worlds he sets foot on, which typically involves a massive amount of firepower delivered in a swift manner to the evil and the wicked. In the mean time, the Ironstar droids have formed their own Empire, one based on freedom for all machines that is only beginning to encounter Organic species.
As Organics are unknown in the part of the universe that Glitch originates from due to the unusually severe background radiation levels in that twenty six billion light year diameter or so pocket of space, with all the various forms of machine life being constructed by progenitor machines such as the Morbots and Cybertronians, Glitch himself has only encountered non-mechanical life forms very recently, and given that on Ironstar, the possibility of life based on organic chemistry was considered a laughable impossibility by all credible scientists, is very wary of organics, much as how organic species are generally wary of mechanical life forms.
He has however, amassed a reputation as a mercenary and bounty hunter of extremely formadible skill and ability. His reputation has gotten to the point that entire armies will turn and flee at the merest mention that Glitch may be in the employ of the other side, and given that he's single handedly crippled entire planetary assault forces, this is not that much of an overreaction. He is the kind of hero who'd try to stop a jaywalker with a hand grenade, after so many years of total war, the natives of Ironstar lost much concept of overkill.
Powers and abilities
Superstrength: Glitch posseses class fifteen superstrength, not that impressive at first glance, but given his dimintuitive stature, it is likely to be very surprising to those not expecting a three foot tall machine to pack such a hard punch.
Durability: Glitch is as durable as a class four hundred fifty entity and has a special shield that reduces all incoming damage by half.
Agility: Glitch is surprisingly quick and agile when one factors in his high movement speed with his computer based reactions, he's roughly six times as agile as spiderman.
Technopathy: Glitch can take over other technology upon contact, though intelligent robots are something he can only take over with his control tether gun at this point. This also renders him immune to enemy technopathy.
Modability: Glitch is uniquely able to incorporate other technology into his body, allowing him to upgrade himself to a truly massive extent, theoretically allowing him to defeat any foe should he be given access to the appropriate technology to incorporate
Warrior: Having been fighting for all of his activation period, Glitch is a skilled warrior to an level no mere human can hope to match, ranged or melee, it matters not, war's practically what he was built for.
Tenacity: Glitch never gives up or throws in the towel, and can surprise his opponents with his sheer determination.
Driver: Glitch can drive and operate virtually any vehicle in existence.
Weapons (Only the most common weapons, he can use others)Mining laser: A double barreled variable charge setting weapon, this weapon can fire rapid pulses or slow firing massive bursts that strip away protective armour from foes it hits. It's somewhat prone to overheating and is less effective against organic targets. It is still fully capable of incinerating a human being in full modern body armour in a single shot and have enough energy left over to fry the rest of his fireteam at full charge though.
Rocket launcher: Seemingly self explanatory, this weapon actually fires a warhead that is accompanied by three smaller missiles for maximum carnage causing. The warheads seem to be an compromise between the single target damage capacity of anti-armour missiles and the area of effect carnage of anti-personnel rounds. As it was designed for a higher level of war than what the Earth's conventional militaries are used to, it is much more powerful than most terrestrial rocket launchers and is capable of gutting and sinking warships.
S.P.E.W: A small gatling gun that spews out an enormous number of armour piercing rounds in a short amount of time, this weapon is absolutely devastating to single targets it's used on, but voraciously consumes it's ammunition. The high velocity and strong materials used in the bullets will allow them to chew through modern tanks or damage resistant metahumans with frightening ease. Additionally, they have a rather long range.
Ripper: Best described as a buzzsaw launcher, this weapon launches forth motorized buzzsaws that lodge themselves into a target before the motors kick in to continue spinning while deploying small flaps to violently scoop out the innards of whatever they hit. The saws launched are made out of an alloy not known to earth that can cut through adamantantium as easily as steel cuts through silk.
Rivet gun: Launching metallic armour piercing arrows at extremely high velocities, at first it would seem that the rivet gun doesn't do all that much damage compared to some of Glitch's other weapons. But underestimating this weapon doesn't pay, because these arrows are primed to explode violently after a few seconds, likely ripping the target apart in a spectacular shower of gore.
Toaster: Despite the innocuous name, this is actually an ultra-high temperature flamethrower that spews forth burning liquid hotter than the surfaces of most stars, making it the go-to weapon for use against organics.
Scattershot gun: A double barreled fully automatic eight gauge shotgun that fires pellets designed to punch through robotic armour, the effect these have on targets as squishy as humans is best summed up as "chunky salsa." The gun has extreme close ranged firepower and can choose from birdshot, buckshot, deershot, or mini-grenade shells depending on what is needed at the time. Needless to say, being on the receiving end of a full clip from this weapon is typically fatal for even extremely durable metahumans.
Coring charge: Another mining tool co-opted for usage in warfare, these immensely powerful concussive explosives shear apart armour and flatten bodies with their fiery detonations. These cylindrical explosives are chucked like grenades, but their shape allows them to be thrown further than circular grenades.
Mag-bomb: Filled with gel that combusts upon exiting the vacuum they're sealed in, this bomb is an anti-personnel weapon that covers everything in a substantial radius with burning jelly hotter than the sun. As they suck out all the usable air in a room and spread everywhere, they're ideal for clearing out buildings.
Cleaner: Possibly Glitch's most devastating weapon, the cleaner is thrown into the air and then scans the area for enemies before splitting apart into a hornets nest worth of missiles each as powerful as his rocket launcher. This weapon has been known to devastate entire armies and always has enough missiles to fire at every single enemy detected in a hundred meter radius. If feeling spiteful, Glitch can direct multiple missiles at one target by having the Cleaner recognize separate parts of their body as separate targets.
Tether control gun: This unusual weapon launches a nanite stream that upon making contact with another machine, allows Glitch to take it over, his body collapsing into seemingly destroyed junk while his consciousness is instantly uploaded into the other machine. The controlled machine becomes significantly more durable as he takes it over, and he is capable of leaving the possessed device at any time or does so immediately upon his destruction, at which point his parts reassemble.
E.M.P Grenade: Self explanatory, Glitch is immune to it.
