Loved the issue. Great new direction for Hal.

I'd be more excited about this if John wasn't in it. By far the least interesting lantern, in my opinion.

I haven't enjoyed the GL line of books this much in a long time. GL is far and away my favorite (I'm a Hal guy), but all the teams are doing a great job. Venditti writes a great Hal Jordan. Can't wait for Lights Out.

@hawkguy: All four books are good, but you don't need to read them all. You can enjoy GL alone.

@hortondrawsawho: I hear you. I often am in the same spot with the Superman books. DD is the only marvel book I read anymore, mostly due to $ as well.

@hortondrawsawho: I understand your point, but for me GL post-Blackest Night under Johns et al. was really lacking. One big event after another with a loss of character development. Not to mention shelving Hal. I really like where things are headed now and feel revived interest in my long time favorite character/book. To each their own, I hope the GL books end up bringing you back in at some point.

Good review, I liked the issue a lot. I think Venditti has a strong vision for where he is going and continues to show a very strong handle on writing Hal. Can't wait to see what is next. Haven't enjoyed GL this much in a long time.

@anabyss: I really enjoy his X-O stuff and am thrilled to have him on GL. No offense to Johns, but I haven't personally enjoyed his GL for a long while. This issue demonstrated an approach to Hal and the corps which I'm already enjoying exponentially more. Can't wait for more from Venditti and Tan.

@mezmero: Sinestro was great. It does seem though that Hal is going to be getting more character development than he's had in a while. May still be worth checking out.

@captain13: I created a log in specifically to say that this is the best review Ive seen.

On top of that, captain13 is 110% with his first comment. Couldn't agree more. Loved the book, Venditti is off to a great start. Ive enjoyed Hal (my all time favorite) more in this one book than I have in months.
