What I know so far is that YJ will return in January, but its production has already stopped, so NO third season.

It's a bit early to start production on a third season so that doesn't mean anything. All we know is that the second season has wrapped up production and we still are only halfway through the season in terms of episodes aired. Personally, I would be surprised if YJ DIDN'T get green lighted for a third season, but I bet there won't be any word on that until January or February of 2013 if not later.

@fodigg:

Yep, it's certainly seemed that writers have played pretty fast-and-loose with his TTK over the past few years.

Okay, so not much effective difference unless it's turned up to 11, like with the Match example. That makes sense, but it does seem like a roundabout way to arrive at what is essentially the same powerset. Oh well, though.

Perhaps, though USUALLY standard telekinesis is represented to be fairly weak by comparison, unless you're at Phoneix-level strength. Superboy was shown to be able to do things with his tactile-TK without breaking a sweat that a normal TKer would probably have to strain pretty hard to do, or be unable to do at all. This is probably to make up for the fact that he has to be in physical contact with it, and also so that his TTK could adequately mimic kryptonian super strength.

It was also shown that as SB got older, his TTK would develop into regular TK as well. And although it was never specifically stated, I would guess that he would not be as strong using regular TK as he would be with his TTK.

@gerrylum: Oops her mom was the original Tigress in the comics. You're right she's called Huntress in Young Justice.

Yeah, looks like you're right. She went by Tigress briefly in the comics, then used Huntress.

I still don't fully understand "tactile telekinesis". So he can "move things by touching them"? Except moreso than normal? Doesn't that just mean super strength?

It's exactly the same as regular telekinesis, but he needs to be in physical contact with the object in order to manipulate it. It's not the same as super-strength because the telekinetic field that surrounds his body expands and surrounds the object he's lifting/manipulating which can, for example, keep it from crumbling under its own weight. He once lifted the Taj Mahal (ok, it wasn't the Taj Mahal, but it was basically the same size/design), which, if he was just using super strength, would have structurally broken apart.

He can also use his field to penetrate mechanical items and cause them to explode - he once expanded his field throughout the entire Los Angeles area disassembling every gun. He can also expand his field around another person, lending his invulnerability to them.

With tactile telekinesis you could lift Lex Luthor's super yacht simply by touching it with your pinky finger. In the comics, Superboy's clone Match had such great control over his TTK field, that he could manipulate the light waves that interacted with his TK field, bending them around his body, thus making himself invisible.

Isn't it odd that Impulse caused the very destruction of Mt. Justice that he came back to prevent? And didn't even seem to know that that was what he was doing?

Well, to US it didn't seem like he knew he was doing it, but with Impulse it may just all be an act - like it was when he saved Neutron. For all we know, the destruction of Mt. Justice might have been something that he felt NEEDED to happen.

Giving Artemis the codename Tigress isn't the smartest move. What if they run into Sportsmaster. He is bound to recall his ex-wife's old villainess identity.

I'm pretty sure Artemis' mom went by "Huntress", not "Tigress".

Actually, that's Kevin Grevioux who's voicing Black Beetle. They've got similar deep-toned voices.

@gerrylum: Was it counted among other abilities, or was it his only ability? I didn't even know there WAS a tie-in comic series.

No Caption Provided

Yeah, it was listed as "Tactile Telekinesis, Super Strength, Invulnerability" plus it had his other powers. I've attached it to this message.
