Zeus' confidence proves him right, because he easily dispatched Hulk.

I don't see Broly surviving a SSJ2 Vegeta, sorry Broly fans. My vote won't change.

@ssejllenrad: Ya and Cable was holding up an island at the time of the fight.

People tend to forget that. It was a pretty big island too.

People also tend to forget that at the same time of holding the island up AND fighting against Surfer, both Cable and Surfer were rebuilding a city they continuously demolished as they fought.

After reading this entire thread, this is what I got from the two actually debating:

Silver: No, Cable can't do this and Cable can't do that. It's impossible. Martian Manhunter wins!

Progenitor: Cable can do many things, some may hit, some may miss.

I tend not to agree with people claim one character can't do something to another character, but the latter can do anything to the former.

In this case, Cable can do a hell of a lot to Martian Manhunter. Cable wins.

@geistmesser: Mary caused the Storm not Hancock

The storm was caused by the fight, not Mary.

Wonder Woman (love her) and Martian Manhunter (I'm biased) could potentially be the only two able to contend with Thor's Warrior Madness based on their power-set versatility. Thor's backed by a cosmic-type of magical energy (or just plain magical) that Superman is vulnerable to (or has DC retconned that, too?). Barry is a non-factor; if he doesn't have the Speed Force, or a source of Speed that matched Wally's in this case, than he isn't going anywhere. Green Lantern constructs won't survive Thor's onslaught.

Hancock doens't have feats in Invincible's legaue IMO.

Hancock also possesses abilities Invincible doesn't. For instance, causing a freaking thunderstorm (in-conjunction with winter affects) due to battling Mary.

Magdalena can withstand punishment from Jackie Estacado so the cap can't really phase her...plus her spear of destiny only needs to touch him and he dies.

The Spear won't harm him whatsoever. He isn't a demon nor is he of magic or of evil intention. Her withstanding punishment from Jackie is the same as me saying Steve withstands punishment from the Hulk, which would make him more than capable of removing Magdalena from the fight.

As far as the force of the train, again you have only speculation about how many cars were involved, what payload were they carrying and the actual speed of the train at the time. Statistics of moving trains colliding with automobiles show that most trains are travelling at 30MPH or less as governed by the city speed limits. Freight trains are governed nationally at max of 60mph in non-urban areas.

Believe it or not, food products often go as high as 70mph within city limits, and through the country side they can reach as high as 90 to 100 mph when the rails are straight and not curved around mountains. I read the weight of trains each day, and not one care is exactly the same weight as another (which is a factor in this case for Hancock). But they are in the general area of around 32 tons (64,000lbs). So if there were, say, a mile-stretch of 15 to 25 cars (depends on what's carried). 25 cars that weigh 32 tons a piece would equal... 1,120 tons of force. Now, do we multiply that by how fast the train traveled?

Controlling his density isn't the same as being resistant to molecular transmutation. Surfer could simply change Manhunter's entire biology into that of a lichen-covered rock, and Manhunter wouldn't be able to turn back -- unless he pops out another power, "anti-transmutation."

IIRC he has the ability to turn into organic and non-organic matter therefore transmutation isn't a conceivable means of dealing with him.

I'm not at all convinced that he has that sort of power. Has that been retconned or is it currently within his scope of abilities? And has he used it recently? On top of that, who else on the team would be immune to transmutation (or at least revert back to normal when affected by it)?
