Laura and Julian had a great rapport during the Kyle & Yost years, they slowly built something with those characters and it was disappointing to see Liu destroy all that. I like Liu as a writer, but X-23 #19 was a travesty.

As for Julian himself, he's a character with a lot of potential. Certain writers see this like Yost & Kyle, & Carey...others not so much. Jury is still out on Arron's portrayal but IMO Arron's one of the best so I have hope! Though that's what I said about Liu in the beginning.... Anyway I tweeted with Gage a week or so back and he said Hellion would be back in Legacy during the AVX event so it will be interesting to see his take on the character.

From what I've read from a couple of Gage's interviews is that X-23 is going to be the key focus of the AA AVX tie-in issues. Which makes sense. Personally I think this will really decide which side she's really on going forward. I'd love to see the AA kids have to battle the X-Kids and see which side Laura picks. Part of me wants to see X-23 fight Surge or Hellion though.

Yeah because Liu ignored the several years on cannon in which Hellion has been nothing but concerned for her. I mean its like him flying her across country to have Elixir heal her never happened! Yes Hellion can be a bit of a jerk/ass, but when you've had all the crap that's happened to him happen to you? Well try not to come out a bit bitter, and angry.

As for the whole Mettle/Laura thing? If something comes out it Marvel needs to hire new editors. Erase years of cannon with the shittiest break-up chapter and then have her with a guy she barely met? Would be extremely disappointing.

I tweeted with Christopher Gage, the writer of X-Men Legacy and Avengers Academy, and he said the following:

I am writing a Hellion appearance in Legacy #266 today!

So you figure that issue 260.1 came out today and 263 is coming out in march that means that come June Hellion will be back Legacy (hopefully in something in other than a cameo appearance) which by then will smack dab in the middle of AVX. Let's not get our hopes too high but its something to look forward too

With the big war between the X-Men and the Avengers coming soon over Hope, how do you think Hellion will be involved? As he is currently a student at JGSFHL and not a fan of Cyclops or Hope he might take the Avengers side or just sit back, watch or eat some popcorn.

There might be a chance he does get involved though. Considering that X-23 will be the main focus of the AA AVX tie-in, and the fact that X-23 shredded his heart this might be the time for Hellion to get some pay-back. Probably not likely but there's a still a chance.

There are so many things that Marvel could do with Hellion...but I don't think any of the current X-Writers have any plans for him which is unfortunate.

We need to start sending Marvel saying that we did not enjoy this
