New Snyder Book! 0

It's really refreshing to get in on the ground floor of a creator's new idea. And with a writer who is continually climbing the the ladder of awesome its just great to read something like this. What We can Love About The Book:I really loved the art all the way through the issue. The two pg first part was neat and I felt It was a good hook. In the second part started off slow and this and part 3 take up the longest part of the book and seems to be the driving story for the book overall. I reall...

A Good Start 0

What We Can Like About The Book:Well knowing nothing about the guy I felt that the book did a good job of introducing the hero and touching on his origin and giving him a purpose. Those are good qualities to have in a first issue but as normal they leave you wanting more. So The art was fine but I felt could have been better. I don't usually pick Dynamite books so I know nothing about the publish or the characters that may exist in this world. I enjoy how the main guy acts/is.What I Didn't Like...

Wonders of the UK!! 0

What We Can Love About The Book: Right from the get-go the first thing I wrote in my notes was the ref to Doctor Who at the beginning and it really made me laugh out loud. Ultrons acting like Daleks (and have a similar appearance) is all i'm giving away. Also I loved that we got Captain Marvel in this, Don't know why she's in the UK but she's here. On top of that the book was consistent with her own series in that she can't fly due to health reasons. I really enjoyed the variety of heroes who i...

The End (in many ways) 0

What We Can Love About It: I honestly love the dysfunction that Slade's family has. Not to mention that they are pretty similar to how I knew them pre New 52. Now I'm not reading Ravagers or Team 7 so I don't know how true that statement is but this book alone supports it I think. I loved that Adeline came through at her end and told slade about how she was taken control of and forced to hate him, I feel that makes the pain of Slades loss hit more but also some small comfort he is in much need...

Painfully Misled 0

I've been reading since issue 4 but not online digital is still something I would like to do but won't be committing to it anytime soon. This issue was great and the breaks in issues for the digital version are seamless. I really enjoy that this is not tied into continuity Sometimes its nice to just have a one-and-done story in your hands when your reading so many books in a month. The story was a little heartbreaking and it was great how things ended for Dr. Green It was also very cool seeing...

Faith and Fiends 0

Its All Good:So this book is consistently good both in art and writing I always feel like we see to much of 13 and he just doesn't seem trustworthy so why communicate with him Stranger? I would like to see more Spectre but its fine that we're not playing up the obvious. I'm ready to learn about how he made/ came to be with his family. But he needs to find them I understand that. I loved that we got to see Jack Ryder and the Challengers of the Unknown. We haven't seen much of them but we've kno...

The End of the Baker Family? 0

What We Can Love About It:This book....is.....so sad but terrific. It created so many emotions for me and I kinda want to stop because I can tell its gonna get sadder. What is with these foldout covers this week? Is it going to be all DC books for the month? Its kinda neat but when i fold it out it look a bit worn because of the creasing. Everything leading up the the funeral was needed I think. Sometimes I feel comics want to cash in on the death of hero or close family member and get a bit in...

We Go Together You And I 0

What We Can Love About It:I love how this book draws connection between heroes and villains to the fictional literary characters That to me is super cool. I also have fallen in love (just a smidge) with Holmes and his team. I think its cause I think of the BBC Sherlock and I know that he could stop Deadpool. The Jungle book scene really got to me and I was rooting for the good guys. But its not their book is it? So Deadpool gets on with his task and has a new buddy to slay and murder and highf...

An All Star Book 0

What We Can Like About It:Right from the get go we start where we were left. Which for me is AWESOME. I love when a book doesn't dilly or dally trying to catch you up. I've been reading since issue 15 and I've loved the book. Meeting Blackburn was cool and the mother he had taken under his care. I also really like how this book is using its setting to tie in Vandal Savage's long life. We've seen him in Demon Knights and in DC Universe Presents which is a more current setting. I was happy with t...

Playing Cards 0

For the first half we deal with Wolverine and Captain Marvel and the Second half of the book we have The Thing and GambitSo we have cards theme and this is only my second time reading the A+X book i read last months issue with Iron Fist and Doop. It seems like these are suppose to just be silly little books but i'm not entirely sure how age appropriate they are or how connect to main continuity. The first part was pretty funny with the whole astronaut and caveman comparison the two heroes were m...

Sparkeaters are real!! 0

Sparkeaters were harmed in the making of this issue...if there was any question. What we can love about it:It must be the job but these characters just don't seemed frazzled by any of whats going on around them. That or having nerves of steel is a real benefit in the "work place". We have this big problem for our stranded bots...A Sparkeater who was left on a ship locked up by the NAILS who had it beforehand. Ore is dead and so his is Duobot. The things we learn about the folklore of cybertron is ...

Decepticons in Disguise? 0

Okay admittedly I've not read many Transformers Books, I watched the shows growing up as a kid (I'm only 20...so from not to long ago). And I've hated the movies like most of the fans of the Transformers brand. This book and its sibling book Transformers More than meets the eye. What We Can Love About It:I want to say everything, but being a new reader there is just to many characters. I love that this issue deals a lot with my favorite cybertronian, Starscream. We start right where we finished w...

Who the hell is Bruce Wayne?!? 0

What We Can Like About It:First thing that stood out to me was how amazing some of the panels and pages of Jim Lees art was, as well as the people on colors and inks. Many of these could easily be great posters and such and really had me stopping and admiring the neatness of it all while reading this issue. I usually mention artist last but the art really stood out when I read this. The story was short but had some really cool points of interestFirst off we saw or rather read that Darkseid isn't...

I'll Swallow your soul...is that a bird pun?? 0

What We Can Like About It:The comic stuff on war and peace is super intriguing for me, so I am loving that aspect of the book. People say they are not fan of Liefeld, but I'm gonna say: I'm a fan...I'm liking the direction of the story and I am really liking his art work, its not my favorite but it makes my personal list of people I'd like to be as good as. I was WOWed by the two page spread. I really want to buy that and put it on my wall. I liked the general feel of the story and I am sure we ...

I'm Seeing Red,,,ARRRG 0

What we can Love about it:Range is a confusing emotion, this book is trying to use it as a way to help vindicate the bearers of the red rings while making them into what some would call monsters. Its sorta confusing but I think I see how this can be changed into a positive. By using their experiences of being wronged the Red Lanterns will judge someone to be right or wrong in their range, those who have done 'wrong' will be punished. Deep down I feel that all the emotions in the light spectrum a...

FINALLY! 0

What we can LOVE about it:Aside from the constant amazing art of Yanick Paquette this part of the book got Alec to finally use his powers. The way it was done...flowed, it wasn't done ungracefully. The professor in the beginning was done beautiful and I enjoyed that we left him and picked up with Abby and Alec then finished with the professor finding the parliament. The dead animals added a creepy yet WOWed feel to that part of the book. Never a dull moment with these two. What we can not like abo...

Continuous confusion 0

This issue of Deadpool had me reading fast, I couldn't wait to see what happenedWhat we can like about it:In this issues we have Cap, again, trying to apprehend Deadpool. No one else knows about Evil Deadpool with the exception of Mr Negative. Everyone wants Deadpool to pay for his crimes including whats happened in recent issues when he was in England. I though Cap freaking out about the bag of poo that was thrown was hilarious but when it blew up I realized that Deadpool was making a distracti...

Hawk and Dove's tail spin down 0

Hawk and DoveWhat we can like about it:It’s an interrogation. Now in interrogations you don’t always get the info you want or someone can or mislead. Though in this book we get, what seems to be, the truth. Condor has been caught and before he goes away Hawk and Dove have a moment to ask a few Q’s. For anyone who loves Deadman we see that he will be playing an intricate part to the story line. And we learn some secrets that will leave us with more Q’s. All around Stearling is playing a good card...

A fight for a concious mind 0

What we liked about it:In this issue of Red Lanterns we see multiple struggles, mostly concerning loyalty. It’s an issue everyone faces. Though throwing your minions into a sea of red probably isn’t the way we normal people go about it. Atrocitus is trying to learn about them what the other red lanterns had been discussing. Unfortunately speaking to them isn’t all that helpful and in the last issue we see he doesn’t really trust Bleez. We get parts of the stories behind the one who get tossed in...

Origins revealed! 0

What we can Like about it:We get a great story in this issue, if you know nothing about these characters and find them interesting then PICK THIS UP. If you like origins stories then PICK THIS UP. Its 3.99 its well worth the price. Starting off the issue we learn that Hank Pym's (ant man) wife has died and he's going through a bit of a crisis with that. It is probably affect not only his day-to-day life but his work as a scientist as well. After being denied funding for his current project he me...

TWO Merc's for the price of one 0

What we like about it:Well if you really enjoy Deadpool you get a double dose in this issue! Wade Wilson meets Wade Wilson. Evil crazy meets Plain Crazy. Enough of that for the moment though. In this issue Deadpool meets his assembled-bits self and seems to act pretty 'normal' to it too. Deadpool uses his backwardness to try and gain the upper hand in his battle against his counterpart but because they're the same person with the same abilities they are evenly matched in wits and attacks. This '...

Catwoman #3 0

What we can be excited about:In this issue we get to meet Bone and learn who he is and a bit of his past. Selina is still taking in what had just happened to Lola and how she is responsible for it too. Selina is left to be "worked over" by Bone's goons and totally kicks ass and pops off a few rounds. She latter meets up with Bone and has him thinking twice about the situation he has put them in. She has a bit of a Joker/Jason moment with a baseball bat and sorta scared even me. Then of course we...
