I watched the first 8 or so episodes of Gotham. It's an absolute mess.
While I personally enjoy all of Gotham, from others I've talked to I've heard season 1 is pretty hard to get through but once season 2 hits things start picking up. Just my recommendation since I've heard S2>>>>>S1.
If you didn't find season one of Gotham remotely enjoyable, then I doubt season 2 good enough to change your opinion, but I do agree that season 2 is better, so if you found some aspects of Gotham season one you enjoyed, I'd say give season two a shot because it definitely stands as a major improvement.
The only thing I truly dislike about season 2 is the new mayor. I've never felt him remotely convincing. He's supposed to be this guy everyone thought was legit, but he constantly came off as this creepy, mustache-twirling villain even when he was supposed to be convincing people he was a trustworthy guy.

I found it the exact opposite. S1 just seemed more realistic to me and tied in well to the Batman-verse. S2 to me felt like they were trying too hard to extend it and it flopped imo. SPOILER: Also they killed off the guy who would've potentially been the Joker. That killed the whole point of watching for me. Not to mention the guy was already a bad actor to me. Also, why would Gordon want to name his daughter after a psycho lol..
Jerome might come back
Also, I'm not sure how Barbara Gordon will fit in, but we'll see how things with Barbara Kean work out when she wakes up
If they ever bring in Barbara Gordon Jr., which I don't expect, they could easily say she is Gordon's niece which is the little known backstory for Barbary in the post-COIE - Pre-52 continuity. James' brother died and left Barbara to be raised by James, so Jim is Babs' adopted father.

Yeah I'm getting tired of Olicity shippers acting like Olicity is the main reason Arrow's successful. Scratch that, they actually proclaim that's the reason why it's successful right now. I like Oliver, I like Felicity..I don't like this delusion shippers come up with about them. Sometimes I feel like non-comic readers, since that's usually what most of the shippers are, ruin things for actual comic fans with their non-sense
I can say that my wife didn't give a crap about Arrow until Felicity showed up, and I'm sure there are many others like that. You can complain about the non-comic book fans who enjoy the superhero shows if you want, but the fact is that if it were not for the non-comic book fans out there who support the comic book shows, there wouldn't be enough of an audience for any of these shows to last.
I don't understand the Olicity hate. I wont shed any tears if they stay a couple or don't stay a couple, but I don't their relationship hurts the series in any way.
