Now that Johns's run is coming to an end, I'd like to start reading Green Lantern... I just have no idea where to begin. After having read and reread Morrison's JLA run, I've become a huge fan of Kyle Rayner. JL/JLU has gotten me interested in wanting to learn more about John Stewart, and the small bits I've read of JLI has me interested in Guy Gardner. So, without going way far back to the Silver/Bronze Age, is there a suitable starting point/reading list to get a good scope on the four earth GL's? Would I benefit from anything prior to Johns's run, or does he cover everything about the other earth GL's worth knowing?
I thought it was solid, but I feel like I need to read more to get a better judgement. I don't want the whole story told in one singular narrative, I want jagged fragments. Aron's been pretty good lately, so I bet he'll deliver.
No I was joking, that's Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, though he is blonde, British and smokes heavily, I always said he reminded me of Constantine.
I'm almost positive that he was intended to be an homage to Constantine. I read that somewheres.
Anyway, I'll believe that this movie is really happening when I see concrete stuff. Del Toro's an extremely busy guy, so I'm not holding my hopes up for this movie coming to us anytime soon. But Deadman, Constantine, and the possibility of Zatanna in one movie? I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
I've done a play through of each character, and I love Lex Luthor the most. I found Wonder Woman to be the most difficult, and Batman's one of those "You won't like him until you master him" sort of characters. That's my impression, anyway.
