@Lvenger: At SDCC, someone asked Snyder about the possibility of this Superman connecting with a future JLA. He said: "Superman is the crowned jewel of the DC universe. If we can make his world work here, we'll see."

My thought? Nolan and Snyder had no intention on ever making this movie connect with Justice League when they planned it and filmed it. Then the Avengers came out, and WB said "Crap. We gotta start something fast." Then they told Snyder and Nolan: "Hey guys? I know you already finished your filming and your writing and all that, but if this movie works (and it better), we have to make this the first of the Justice League. Everyone's laughing at us." And that's pretty much where it stands now.

Honestly, the best word to describe this ending is "biblical." It was so well done, and it was perfect for the already excellent trilogy.

When I saw Bruce's tombstone next to his parents', it was eerily comforting to me. Sure, Batman may have been nuts to do what he did, but the way he sacrificed himself for the city was so epic, and you knew that his parents (his father especially) would be so proud of him. To even think of them reunited in some sort of afterlife just brings a huge smile to my face.

Again, an excellent ending to a superb franchise. Nolan's Batman trilogy as a whole, to me, is one of the best Batman stories ever told. Right up there with The Killing Joke, Long Halloween, and The Dark Knight Returns.

Also, Robin was my absolute favorite character in this movie, right next to Alfred. Robin was played so damn well in the tone of the trilogy, and I love Nolan for at least attempting to bring the spirit of the character onto the film. He nailed it. Even though he wasn't in it as much as I would've liked him to be, Alfred totally knocked it out of the park again. His lines at Bruce's funeral were some of the best lines in the film. Beautiful stuff.

Kingdom Come is overall better, but Civil War is one of my favorite Marvel events of all time.

@SandMan_: Routh is still around. He might not be huge, but he was in movies fairly recently. Since his Superman movie wasn't that huge, obscurity should be something he's used to by now. Welling? I haven't heard from him since Smallville ended.
