Would you watch it: A Found-Footage Fantastic Four film

I know, I know, some of you guys aren't too keen about found-footage films, but please just hear me out. Chronicle was such a great film, and I really think those guys are on to something. Frankly, I'm not the only one, because they want either the writer or the director (can't remember which, atm) to work on a Fantastic Four movie for Fox. So I was thinking, if we're gonna get the dude from Chronicle, we might as well keep it in the same vain, because let's face it, he's really REALLY good at it. So anyway, on to the idea.

So we've already seen the FF have their shot at a film (two, in fact) and they were both lackluster to be the least. ...OK, they sucked. I can't be nice about what they've done to Doom, Galactus, and the Silver Surfer. It was kind of unbearable. That being said, the general audience already has some knowledge about the FF. This movie in particular, will take place maybe 15 years after the FF were bombarded with cosmic rays. Now you're probably thinking: "BUT GAMBIT! HOW WILL THE AUDIENCE KNOW ABOUT THE SPACE AND THE SHIP AND THE RADIATION AND THE MYEHHHHHHH???!?!?!" Relax. I'm getting to that. :)

Ok, so the FF has been a superhero team for about 15 years, and they're the rock stars of the superhero game. Since Fox already has the rights to some Marvel properties, they can easily mention the X-Men or Daredevil without actually showing them onscreen. This movie will take place behind the scenes of the FF. You have your main team: Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny, but being 15 years into the game, Franklin and Valeria can also be included. In fact, I was thinking that Franklin will be holding the camera. For a school project, Franklin (12) has to document his family. He takes the camera behind the scenes (well, about as far as Reed and Sue would allow it) of the Baxter Building, interviewing the team. How they got their powers, who are their favorite villains to fight, how many times have you saved the world, etc. With these answers, you'll get to see video flashbacks of the FF doing all sorts of things: Fighting the Mole Man, Diablo, the coming of Galatus, etc. You'll even see Johnny pranking Ben for the comedy.

Franklin's gonna be older for the film, but Val will still be a toddler.

For the actual conflict/villain, I was thinking that this film borrows elements from Waid's "Unthinkable" story. In this particular FF arc, Doom decides to hit the FF where it hurts: attack the kids. To attack Franklin, Doom literally sent him to Hell. Being the film's main focus, to get out of this predicament, that's where Franklin's powers will manifest, allowing him to escape. He'll end up in Doom's castle in Latveria, witnessing his family getting tortured. Little by little, he frees them, and at the end of the movie, Doom's defeated by the FF (in the actual story, Reed sent him to Hell, lol). Later on, Franklin shows his family the documentary, and the FF unanimously agree that Franklin can't take that to school. Reed helps him edit it, but is very concerned about the powers Franklin manifested.

Aaaaaaaand credits.

Do Doom right! His main shtick will be the magic and the power suit.

Now that you've heard the whole idea, what do you think about the premise? You've got your origin, it's definitely great for everyone (action, comedy, etc.), and it introduces characters we've never seen onscreen before. Eh?
