Is there really a throne for Storm to occupy? I dont think Kenya currently (or have they ever?) has a Monarchical system of government.   I wonder who introduced the idea that she was of royal lineage?
Why would you ask "Is there really" lol  we just had a whole conversation,of course there IS.  :)  Storm is a Princess and heir to a Royal bloodline throne without Cat face... If and when she leaves him i hope she could occupy her Kingdom, that should be the setting of her own ongoing book.
I was asking about Kenya really. I know that the kingdom is a fictional kingdom but I wanted to know if Kenya actually had anything like that I didnt know about. Kenya isnt known for any monarchies in its history. Wakanda is a completly fictional country so I dont have to think about that but Kenya is a real country.

Even though she was royalty before she was completely disconnected to her heritage and any power. Tchalla/Wakanda gave her real political clout and not only a kingdom but an empire. Storms current kingdom seems more like a kingdom of villages. There is no military might there is no governing body (that we know of)

of course there is.. that is the whole point of the thread.. Storm's family does not rule Kenya specifically, but rather they rule a a kingdom hidden away in the Great Rift Valley of Africa and boast a bloodline older than any royal in the face of the planet has Storm's family had been royals even before the great cataclysm that sank Atlantis and Lemuria.. her ancestor, Ayesha, was both Queen of Balobedu and the first mortal to ever held the title of Sorceress Supreme.. her other ancestors include the two women who both named Ashake, one is a powerful sorceress in Egypt, and the other was the Empress of Meroë (Kingdom of Kush or Nubia and was later known as Ethiopia).. Cris Claremont wrote that story during his stint in Uncanny X-Men: The New Age back in 2006..
It would be interesting for Marvel to further introduce Storms family Kingdom as another hidden MU kingdom. I havent read those stories with Ayesha and Ashake. I want to read that Clarmont story. What issues are those? Is that story in trade?

@lord_oraculous016:  Tchalla and Ororo are still married so why worry about what she would say if she got divorced. Also you dont know if Wakanda has a divorce policy. They may be married forever.

Plus its more useful to think of the greater kingdom between them. Through Tchalla Storm has become a true monarch.

Also are any of Storms titles active in her kingdom(s)? That would be an interesting story if she and Tchalla went to regain the power of those kingdoms.

All she thinks about is having little Tchallas.
All she thinks about is the mistake she made.
You wish. She thinks about her king all the time :D

@GalactaSurfer: and Hudlins f*cked up writing of her character,so not just in the X-books.  I want a solo title
Hudlins writing improved over time like any rookie comic writer. He had his ups and his downs. As a matter of fact all of BP's writers in recent history have been new to the comic game. So that not saying anything significant.

As opposed to the X-men titles that have done NOTHING until very recently with Storm. Name one (ONE) X-men storyline where Storm is a vital part of the metastory?

Oh please. Youre still ignoring the next couple of pages after that scene. Storm handles herself very well and the whole point of something like that happening is that Tchalla is a VERY difficult person more so than Storm regardless of what you may think. Storm loves Tchalla and she knows hes a prideful and like a good woman should navigates around his walls and right to his heart.  The Hells Kitchen stuff I cant speak to because IMO its too disjointed in its story telling and doesnt have anything to do with the marriage, I just chalk it up to bad management.
Yeah, she just submitted to him again. Good little trophy wife, Storm.  If BP is a "VERY difficult person", than he needs to check that mess when it comes to his wife.  Like I said, that has not been the only time he has spoken to her that way.  And in front of others, no less.  SMH.  What was the excuse for choosing a rock over his wife? (Who was willing die for him?)  Just thinking about all this makes me loathe the marriage even more.  He ain't the one--and that's real talk.  Storm has gotten the very short end of the stick in this so-called marriage.  Downplaying her to boost T'Challa.

You have a very wide definition of submission. I'd bet you'd love it if Storm was just bossing BP around wouldnt you?.

DoomWar was bad writing to the highest degree so I dont acknowdge anything that happened in that mini.

He is the one as he got the ring on her finger. Nothing you can say will change that until Marvel OMD the marrige.

That whole statement about downplaying Storm is utter bullshit. The only place Storm has been downplayed is in the X-men titles.

@Aqua11500: That a seriously lame reason to hate on the character.   OMG he raise his voice at her!!! Only little girls would take offense to that and as we see with Ororo she aint no little girl, she handles herself like a woman in the next couple of panels.   Its already a trope with marriage haters to take scenes out of context to gather hate for the Black Panther.   There are certain instances where women shouldnt get involved, one of them being pissing contest between men. Thats basically what that scene between the Black Panther and Dr Doom was about. It was a King sized pissing contest. Most men know better to get in the middle of a catfight (or whatever women get into)
look trick i don't know where you getting this mess from, you or Silver Zeal.Aint no body hating on Black Panther ass, honey boo. He raised his voice at her,she was trying to help him and protect him,and then he goes off for no reason.BTW don't be so close minded. instances where women shouldn't get involved???

1.If we think our man needs help then thats what we are going to do.
2.if our children need help then that's what we are going to give. It's motherly and womanly instinct.

She meant not harm, and yeah she handled herself like a woman in the next panels, they laughed about it moved on.Still we are getting waaay off topic. The Divorce is still  crap, and they still don't do anything interesting together, and they aren't growing or developing. just about 6 mutha freakin years and Marvel cant find a good writer for them.Storm is suppose to be T'challa's other half yet she doesn't even get featured in his book? Then BP becomes a sell out and comes to America and isn't even what he once stood for. T'challa is out in Hells kitchen, and Storm's character started declining after her marriage and is still getting the shitty end of the stick, and part of it had to do with her being in his books, because once she got married off she would only make small appearances in the x-books,yet they have Wolverine as member of the x-men with plenty face time and promoting him in different books across the board, yet Storm struggled to balance between two titles, and when she was in Hudlins BP books  she was written like crap still!!

Please understand that it's frustrating seeing one of your favorite heros, especially one that was so important and now is just a wall paper thats peeling away.

Im tired of the ?BP fanboys coming on here trying to convince others that they should stay together when there isn't anything to stay together for!

especially @Silver Zeal
Youre seriously proving my point you know that? Look at how you respond, very immaturely. And you want me to take you seriously? And whats with the insults?

A real women knows that there are times where you let a man be a man and there are time when your man. There nothing wrong with that.

In real life if two men are in a physical confrontation you sure as hell do get involved, you may be able to help in another way but interfering will only cause more harm than good.

No one is trying to convince anyone of anything. Im merely correcting false accusations. You and lot of other Storm Fanboys/girls have a habit of taking things out of context to support your hate campaign against the marriage. Its lame. There are a lot of people that like their union and the poll shows that most people dont think they should be seperated.

Most people think, rightly, that they should be written better and all the stupid hate should stop.

@GalactaSurfer: This isn't a regular woman.  This is Storm.  You don't talk to her that way. And considering how dull they write marriage anyway, it just makes it look extra bad that he would speak to her that way when she was just trying to defend him.  Seems like she's always ready to go the extra mile for him, but not vice versa.  She was willing to sacrifice her life for him and he was ready to throw her away for a piece of rock :/
(In my Ed Lover voice) "C'MON SON!"

This wasn't the first time he's had a condescending attitude towards her.  Maybe that stuff would work with a lot of other Marvel women but he should know not to play that mess with Storm.  Especially if he "knows her so well."  And I don't care who they are Storm would never take that mess in regards to anyone else.  It's the stupid writers that make her some submissive, walk two steps behind me, wife.  All so King T'Challa can look and feel good.  Look at her face in that scan.  She looks devastated, lol.  It makes it hard for Storm fans to want a guy like that for her, when she could have any man she wants.   One that, again, won't show his disregard towards her by separating from her to go lick his wounds in Hell's Kitchen.  What kind of husband leaves his wife when he's in need instead of running towards her? And of course, Storm took it like a good little Stepford wife.  How OOC for Storm to do that.   Oh, and I don't hate Panther.  I hate the marriage in it's current state.  And I dislike he's her husband rather than just a boyfriend or something like that.  He just ain't the one for Storm.
Oh please. Youre still ignoring the next couple of pages after that scene.
