@squalleon: @timelordscience: I'm pretty sure print run is based on comic shop orders. Shops need to place their orders by the FOC date. Then publishers will print that number plus some extra for damages and possibly re-orders. Comic creators and publishers don't really want their books to sell out. That means comic shops didn't order enough to meet the demand. For smaller publishers, going to a second printing can be costly. Going back to the printer, etc. This is why it's important for readers to let their shops know when they want a book added to their pull list. I know it's safer to casually pick up a book off the rack but you run the risk of missing out if the book sells out.
Also, when it sells out at the distributor, it's highly possible some copies may still be at your local comic shop. This just means there aren't any more after that.
@kantrip: Thanks. The idea of not having to wait to watch the next video is great. It's like trade-waiting. You get it all at once. As for spoilers, maybe it's just me but it seems stuff relating to comics and I guess geek culture are targets for those that want to spoil. If Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt are working on a movie, you don't see or hear a lot of sneaky spy info or pics. If it's a genre type thing, people are all over it trying to grab a cruddy on set blurry pic from their phone. If a hint of a plot line comes out, people will post it to be "first." But hopefully people will be respectful with the Marvel Netflix shows. I just think if there was a surprise appearance or cameo, people are going to rush to be the first to post about it.
@shadowswordmaster: The core cast is not from comics. They've all been created for the show. Nick Fury and Maria Hill aren't series regulars.
