The Magdalena/Daredevil Preview/Review

Magdalena? I've only read her in Witchblade and First Born. I like the concept of the character. Pretty cool. What did bother me about her here is the way she was portrayed. I don't know if that's just how her character is but she seemed a tad...dim at times. We get the typical and expected missunderstanding/heroes-fighting sequence. Guess who had the misunderstanding? There was also another moment in the issue where she was gonna make a huge mistake and I was practically screaming at her to wisen up. Almost like in the horror movies where you see the killer coming up from behind and the character is just slowly strolling along a darkened hallway.
Over all it was a pretty good issue. Will it have any major impact for either character? Maybe not. I would've liked to see this as a mini-series rather than a one-shot. But it was a great showcase of them. Seeing them in action as they should be portrayed. I spoke with Phil Hester after I interviewed him and I know this was something he was excited about doing. If you're a fan of either Daredevil, Magdalena, or Phil Hester, you owe it to yourself to check this out.
