At the end of last issue, we saw a green skinned woman receiving "orders" and this issue we see her targeting Sara. She sure does look a lot like Aphrodite IX, doesn't she? Aphrodite IX was supposed to have a Pilot Season book last year but it just didn't happen. Perhaps now we will see her return?
I have to say this issue seemed to go by really fast. There was a lot of fast-paced action which made it so. What I really liked, rather than a typical fight issue, it actually starts out after the fight is finished. This has been done a couple times in some television episodes and it's a nice change. We get Sara telling the events of the fight and we go back to the beginning.
Sara is looking good while fighting. She's probably making up for getting beat up by David Worthy last issue. It also appears as if the Witchblade armor is continuing to evolve a little. At least it did appear a little different to me. Also if you look at the preview pages, some of the action reminds me of Terminator. Make that Terminator 2. That's not a bad thing.
Ron Marz continues to write the characters in a realistic portrayal. Their language and manner of speaking doesn't seem forced or too cliche. The art, as always, was amazing. It's such a great thing to see an artist like Stjepan Sejic able to consistently produce such beautiful artwork month after month with such consistency. I'm not sure how he does it or if he got a big head start but I'm digging it.
I did feel like this was almost a vehicle for the "mysterious green-haired assassin." If their intention was to raise interest in her, it worked. I am curious to see what her next "mission" will be.
4 and half stars out of 5.

A mysterious green-haired assassin is running amok in Manhattan, and not even New York City’s Finest can stop her. But there’s one more cop standing in the killer’s path, and she’s armed with more than her department-issue revolver. The Top Cow crossover no one predicted!
