Why is Marvel changing all their central characters? It's a slap in the face of longtime fans.

Agreed.

Terrible idea, Parker is Spider-Man and Miles is just one of Parker's many less interesting copies, hopefully this won't last long. Also if Marvel wanted to give Pete some time off what was wrong with Kaine or Miguel taking the mantle for a while.

It should have been Peter, Miguel and Kaine instead of over-hyped Spider-Gwen and stupid/bland Miles Morales.

Agreed.

The only thing that excites me with this whole new Marvel universe is that Citizen V seems to be featured, I've always thought given his skills and equipment he has the making of a top hero.

I've been an obsessive Marvel reader since I was eleven years old (Over twenty years) and I have to say this 'new' Marvel prime reality looks absolutely effing' terrible. Instead of the hugely successful popular original characters I've grown up with (And who's comics I've spent a fortune on) we now have a bunch of second rate copies in what seems like comic series specifically aimed at very young teens.

I love how if you're against this, you're a racist. I'm against this not because I hate that they aren't white, but because Marvel is so desperate to be diverse, that they gave us a sh*tty team comprised of teenagers.

Hell, the Young Avengers are probably more competent than these guys.

It's just straw-men arguments because of the weak counter-argument.

That's funny, especially when there's pages of people literally complaining about the diversity of the team. I guess people are just paranoid huh?

It's not diversity that people have a problem with or the race/sex of said characters. I've been an obsessive Marvel collector since I was eleven years old, I buy almost every title released monthly by the company which have included those headed by black and female characters (From well known heroes such as Storm to relatively unknown heroes such as Nightwatch) The problem I have s not the characters themselves it's that these lesser copies of original characters are being pushed to the forefront while the original more interesting historically successful fan-favourites characters are being ignored. I don't even mind copy characters, there have been many Spidey and Thor copies and some are decent characters yet they will always be just that, copies of the original. Parker is Spider-Man, and Steven Rogers is Captain America etc. and while Miles is a decent character he adds nothng fresh to the Spidey mythos other than his skin colour, something that the majority of us don't care about.

Hulk is so badly overratted. His fanboy's think he can beat people like galactus or the tribunal when bad writing can't save him.

I don't think anyone really believes he's that powerful but I personally do believe he has the power to beat someone like Superman.

There's even a thread here where people seriously think that Wolverine can beat Magneto. And some people think he can win against Namor for crying out loud. Wolverine shouldn't even be able to swim with that adamantium skeleton.

He could win against Namor on land but obviously if he's even near a body of water then he can't and nobody believes he'd beat Namor in water.

What people tend to forget is that in Wolverine' very first appearance, before he had a fan-base or even had any connection to the X-Men he was sent to fight the Hulk and survived a three way battle with the Hulk and a Wendigo. That high level of durability has been apparent since day one.

From what I understand from the Avengers/JLA crossover Flash is faster in the DC multiverse because he can access the speed force whereas Quicksilver is faster in the Marvel multiverse. If they battled in a neutral realm outside of Marvel and DC, Quicksilver would probably take the win because again there is no speed force. (I do wonder if Pietro could learn to tap the speed force if he spent any length of time in a DC reality)
