iron man might be able to solo. thor's hammer and cyclops's blasts won't ever get through his shields, which can survive nukes. If thor tried lightning, it would backfire as tony can rechannel it through the armor (as seen in Iron man & Thor #4). Iron man will probably be fighting from the air, so colossus, beast and wolverine are no threat (with the exclusion of the fastball special) and hulk would be tony's first target, to put him down quickly. Tony could probably create a devise that would absorb all of hulks gamma, turning him back into bruce. wolverine, beast, and colossus could be put down with brute force. the only real challenge isThor, but i'm sure with 30 days of prep, tony can think of something. worst case scenario, batman steps in with a power ring and wins.
Unless, sandman trickles into Thors armor and chafes so horribly, that Thor surrenders in exchange for a shower and some Goldbond. Sandman for the slow and annoying win!!
i can understand saving like a bank robber or moron in a costume from an untimely death, but saving a known murderer (or mass murderer(or just F'ing psycho)) is stupid. You know that joker and goblin and mandarin are all gonna kill again, so why perpetuate the cycle? maybe they're just too spineless to admit that it needed to be done, who knows?
btw, in my stories, Spectrum always ends up killing the bad guys. No effing around.
