One or both of the 'X's could actually be the roman numeral for '10'- after all, 'Weapon X' originally meant 'Weapon 10'. So this could be hinting to a possible failed attempt at cloning Wolverine: 'Weapon X-10' would be X-23's older brother/sister. Or, it could be 'Weapon-10.10', which would be more in line with the government experimenting on animals/people/mutants like Wolverine and Fantomex.

He;s already said that what's happening to him is also happening to Sue and the others. The only difference is that it's happening to him first (probably because his powers involving stretching/reshaping his molecules). If they're all in danger, then he should tell them the truth. It's one thing to keep your own illness from others, but to not tell someone else when they're ill is something completely different.

@Faeye: Yeah, i think that the one on the right is the original. The one on the left is the more famous one, though, and it's the image that is used for most editions.

Is Hope a student at the school now, or not? I haven't been able to get to a comic book shop in the last couple of months, and really want to know what's happened to her. I know that the Five Lights, and the younger residents of Utopia have started at the school now, but I can't find Hope anywhere...

Adam X, Apocalypse, and Gambit have all been hinted at/ intended to be a Summers brother, but they've all been dropped or retconned. Still, there's always time for them to retcon the retcon...

X-23 is going to be a central character in Avenger's Arena. Seeing as the whole point of that book is that the characters are trapped on a desert island, I doubt if she's going to get her own title. I have absolutely no interest in Wolverine: he's alright in himself, but Marvel uses him way too much.

Perhaps we could have a Sabertooth comic? Ultimate comics gave him a claws similar to Wolverine.

Or maybe a sort of Wolverine Corps: lots of AU Wolverine's banding together to save the multiverse. I'd suggest a young Wolverine, X-23/Kirkika, Wild Thing (daughter of Wolverine and Electra), Daken, and Sabertooth.

To be fair, Marvel does have a fair few teams where women outweigh men (X-men, New Mutants, X-men Legacy etc.) and seem to be introducing a coupkle mor, like new FF and Uncanny X-men. Personally, I think they're much better for gender equality than DC. In fact, I'd argue that having an exclusively female team just to keep certain groups happy is just pandering.

Also, the name is probably the worst I've come across in a while.

There's also this:

I know that it's not in continuity, but still. It shows that the idea's been there for a while. While I approve of taking the characters in new directions, I think that Wolverine hsould have died in AvX. That would have solved a LOT of problems, while opening up a metric ton of new storylines.

@hunter5024: I think that they're playing on the fact that Panther is the king of the country where they were married, and can do more or less whatever he likes in terms of making/breaking laws.

Looks like the school's getting some new students, although I'm betting that the dark-haired girl with the wings in the cover image is Mystique in disguise.

@Avenging-X-Bolt: Yeah, but she looks a bit blocky in the first panel. Although I do love the idea of her being a shapeshifter on a molecular level, like Apocalypse or Transonic.
