I think the art won me over on this one. It looks pretty great. I'll definitely check it out. Actually, Stan Lee has said The Spider inspired him to create Spider-Man. It's cool to see the influence go the other way. Definitely more of an anti-hero here than Spidey is. Branding your vicims on the forehead, man. Leaving them tied up in webs is definitely more humane. Now if I only new the New York skyline better, I might be able tell what year it was...

This looks pretty interesting. I can see how his powers would degrade over time, but also being limited by increased pollution. In fact I could see him having some kind of low orbit satellite where he could go "sun bathe" every once in awhile. Either that or the Fortress of Solitude is now under a larger whole in the ozone. As far as the black costume, maybe he's not being as flashy because he doesn't want to be as big of a target any more. Definitely would help blending in flying at night with all the increased light pollution.

I wouldn't put it past Doom to give a "simple" explanation to Hulk who would fall for it, but in reality it's much more complex. Hulk's healing factor is interesting, would it regenerate the other half of his brain? And I'm curious to see what watered down Hulk abilities might be in the new Banner. In any case I'm sure Doom has a plan for both. A stupid Hulk without the ability to switch to Banner might be easier to control (lead) especially if he owes you a favor. Now what would that favor be...

I have high hopes for this. I think they need to keep Xavier and Magneto. They are the R2D2 and C3PO of the X-series. The other characters I could take or leave, though Mystique was pretty integral. I'm just Mystique'd out. It would be great to see more of Xavier and Moira. That's never really been explained well. The way I see it they could go one of two ways, either continue on to 1963 and the Kennedy assassination or skip to the next decade and have one movie per decade. That could be fun: 70s X-Men, 80s, 90s (well...)

I think this might feel weird because DD and Black Cat together feels like Batman and Catwoman gone wrong. Spidey and Black Cat is different enough that it feels like its own thing, but this new matchup is maybe too close to home. Its kind of like how the closer robots come to looking human, the more repulsed we get, because they just look "off." Plus Black Cat knows she can never have a long term relationship, so she runs aways from anything that feels too real to save herself the pain. This DD thing will pass as soon as it gets too serious. Should be fun to watch, though.
