@frenemy: They caught wind of a string of children gone missing and go search, figuring there's a kidnapper. Have to use various strategies and analyse details to try to find patterns, similarities, and try to find and capture him or her before the last one is killed or kidnapped.

@pyrogram: It doesn't really fit with the style I focus on; there is usually some rhyme or rhythm to alliteration, the words don't have any 'punch' and it adds 'flow' which cuts down on the acceleration of the pacing.

I try to write passages of clear exposition, fast paced scenes and sequels that can engage empathy. Alliteration usually doesn't bring anything to help accomplish those goals and in the case of scenes it actually hurts by decelerating the pacing. Sometimes it has its place in the kind of writing I try to do now, but that's unusual.
