The main problem with this show is, outside of a lead performance that comic fans can be excited about; it's just not that good.

The first episode and the last one that aired were pretty cool, but the rest have been meh to pretty weak. The stories have not been very gripping, the supporting characters as they've been presented haven't piqued my interest, the mood and tone of the show are hardly horror.

This show just reminds me of a lot of things that can go wrong when Network television tries its hand at mature horror elements.

It's better than Gotham, but that's about it.

It's not awful, but it definitely has a weird vibe like "Batman: The Musical" without the music..

I've found this show to be not be pretty meh so far, but this was definitely the best episode since the premiere. Hopefully it stays on track for the next handful of episodes and gets extended.

Are we sure that Roy G Bivolo just being the comics based Rainbow Raider is a nod to the Green Lantern universe? The comic version does affect people's emotions according to this site's wiki.

Are we sure "Firestorm" isn't Heatwave?

Sorry, I'm just a nitpicker.

The guy who played him (Firestorm) is the same as the guy we saw play Ronnie Raymond. Also we have already saw Capt Cold give Heatwave his heat gun so we know that he doesn´t have super powers.

Ah yes. I forgot about both of those things. My bad.

I'm sure she'll do a good job. I kinda wanted to gawk at the hot girl from True Detective though..

I liked the episode. It was 3 stars IMO but only by TWD standards, which are head and shoulders above any other comic book television currently being produced.

I feel like the ending was a letdown, but part of that may just be my bias toward liking the character who caught the wrong end of it. Felt it could have been written better.

Seemed like a waste of a character with a lot of potential, just to give motivation to other characters. It didn't really accomplish anything else. I think killing off Maggie would have been a much more interesting impact on a number of different characters.

If those are what they appear to be, flashbacks scenes to the simulation, I don't know what all the art bellyaching is about. I'm sure it's very intentionally "jarring" in this case.

Well except of course the fact that the bellyachers are always going to declare themselves when Allred promos are released.

Hearing this was filmed second kind of worries me, as I thought it was the best episode since the first. The episodes with Zed just seem kind of flat to me.

This show is not bad but I find it pretty meh, everything outside the lead performance. The format of starting and ending a new case every week, with only the vague thread of "something is rising" running through all of them, can make the episodes really hit and miss IMO.
