I like the costume, but there's just something off about her fighting style to me. I'm also disappointed that they didn't showcase her big special/ultra/hyper/x-ray move.
NetherRealm has always had a habit of making DC characters fighting styles from existing Mortal Kombat characters. In this case it seems Mortal Kombat guest DLC character Freddy Krueger has been used as the base for Catwoman. Lots of upright-standing Freddy-style claw-slashing and not much in the way of the known feline agility fighting style.
Interesting. that's the Batman: Arkham City Catwoman voice actor. Does this mean that Warner Bros. have pulled some strings for NetherRealm? Have the chances of Kevin Conroy Batman in a fighting game increased?
I hope this Harper Row develops into a unique path of her own and steps out of what I perceive as Lisbeth Salander (The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo)'s and Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell)'s shadows.
Comic Vine definitely needs some of its own background music for its videos, hearing some of Giant Bomb and Tested's well-known tracks randomly spread out through the video was a bit weird.
@sethysquare: NetherRealm was merely one portion of Midway, when it went bankrupt it was sold off in chunks. Warner Bros. bought Ed's team and Ed named them NetherRealm Studios.
@G-Man Thanks for asking my question. Curiously enough, Ed avoided mentioning the stage transitions which are just as time consuming as the Super Moves, ah well. I wouldn't be surprised if those were made faster behind the scenes before release. Good interview!
