Really, Comicvine? That's the joke you come up with? A very possible rape scenario, and you pass it off as silly? Shame on you.
Please get away from the internet.
Normally when I see a low post count I say "welcome," but you're not exactly making a good impression here.
@CircularLogic you pretty much summed up my thoughts on it as well.
Kissing is hardly rape. Saying the Comic Vine staffers made a rape joke or condoned rape in ANY way is laughable to anyone who frequents this site or listens to the podcast. You're talking about a group of adults who don't even condone casual sex as per the Young Avengers discussion on last weeks podcast.
Anyway my question is as follows. I spend approximately 35-50 a month on single issues, on top of what I drop on TPB's. With all the new Marvel Now stuff, and especially because of all the double shipping, there is simply no way I can afford to keep up with everything I'm interested in. Because of this every week I will usually read two-three issues of something while in the store and then just put it back down. I'm super careful not to get smudges or hand sweat on the issues. As a paying customer of both the big 2 and some Image stuff should I feel bad about not paying for this stuff? I just find the 3.99 price point on stuff double shipping to be too much to ask of someone for a typical 10 minute read. Anyway love the site and the podcast.
That cover alone has guaranteed I'll stay around for at least the first few issues. Hope it can keep up with Snyders level of excellence. Swamp Thing and Animal Man are some of the few remaining DC books from the 15 or so I started with from the New 52 Roll out.
