Not sure how I feel about this. The Fantastic Four are supposed to be the first, premier Marvel superhero team. It seems strange for them to come after the X-Men. And I'm not sure what the point of having a second interconnected MCU is. Oh and I'm not a fan of Mark Millar at all. I find him kind of pretentious and overrated.

Maybe it's to set up Franklin Richards for the X-men movies? He is a mutant after all.

well they could be considered the first publicly adored team. The x-men were kept a secret and were going to be blown up on an island so no one would know about them lol.

Just like Namor was called the first mutant for a while, even though Appocolypse is clearly older than him

I'm glad of that news. An X-Men/Fantastic Four movie wouldn't work IMO. I take it there'll just be references to the X-Men and mutants in general in the film.

I think this wouldn't work unless they found some way to slightly mention the Fantastic Four and the X-Men's presence within their own universes. For example, they could have Reed Richards briefly show up in an X-Men movie, but not really meeting the X-Men just yet or the Fantastic Four movies could briefly mention the mutant phenomena, but not have the X-Men really show up. Therefore, this would set up a meeting between the X-Men and the Fantastic Four while alerting the audience that they are in the same universe.

Hmm. I wonder how they'll make it clear that they're in the same universe then.

rumor is that the after credits scene in DoFP will link X-men and Fantastic Four in some way

Fox could have done this years ago and it's just embarrassing for them to try it now. I find it funny how Mark Millar and Bryan Singer think that their "Shared Universe" is in the leagues of Marvel Studios and DC/Warner Bros :P

I didn't know it was possible for me to be less interested in an F4 reboot, but there ya go.

@gor724: A strong rumor is Apocalypse will be introduced into the X-men movie franchise, the like hood is he will be brought to the present as a result of the DOFP time-travel, I imagine he will appear at the post credit scene of DOFP

I just really wish Marvel would by the Rights back from Fox.. I've literally lost all faith in any Fox CBM.. It's like they're trying so hard to play catch up that they fall flat on their face ! DC is trying to get back up and bull rush Speed Force their way to the finish line before Marvel can "even Think" to raise their last step and cross it...... But fox... Fox is going 0 to negative infinity fast !

If Marvel looked back I think they would have chosen to wait with the movies until they could own all of their stories and characters.

No they couldn't, it didn't make sense that SHIELD/Avengers didn't help out in Iron Man 3 it would just be timesing that by a thousand if they decided to introduce all these insanely powered mutants in to the world

Come n Marvel just buy the Fantastic Four from Fox already leave he X-men behind.
