This list is a combined list of the best Marvel characters based on both my opinions and popular consensus. For example, I may not be a Spiderman fan, but he has to be high on a top Marvel character list (but not the highest). Hope this can lead to some discussion! :D
Ever since the first Robert Downey Jr. film this character has really skyrocketed the lists. For me his character is what makes him better than Spiderman - I prefer the sarcastic Tony Stark to the whiny Peter Parker.
Do I really need to explain this one? Not too big a fan of him personally but his character is an interesting one if you want to read about a younger superhero.
The most well-known X-man, he is a great character even though I haven't read much of him yet.
The god of thunder and my personal favorite of the Avengers, this guy as one of the Big 3 of the Avengers has been great recently. My favorite aspect has got to be how he feels about Loki (I am talking about in the movies). Loki keeps betraying him, but Thor never abandons him. Thanks Chris Hemsworth!

I feel bad for the guy. He wants to do the right thing, but he has to help Galactus. That alone makes him one of my favorites.
His fascination with death has made him a continually great character. I think my favorite Thanos story has got to be the Infinity Gauntlet, it really got into what he was and what he was about. Easily my favorite Marvel villain.
How can a top 10 Marvel list not include Cap? He is what we all strive to be.
I said Thanos was the best Marvel villain by far, and I hold to that. The reason I like Magneto so much is because, while he was a great villain, we got to see him remove his inner demons and go on and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader type journey. While obviously not the same as Anakin, it still makes for a really fantastic character.
The only reason he is not higher is because he isn't as popular as others. He is awesome and a king with many of Batman's capabilities. I mean come on, what's not to like???!!!
