Most parents don't want to do parenting, which means answering the hard and complex questions. They expect tv and school to do it for them, so they complain when their children see things that make them uncomfortable. They don't get that it's their job and responsibility.

It was worth sharing, thank you very much. It's reassuring to know there are still persons walking the Earth whose brains and hearts function in unison.

I think my favorite part about parents who don't want to teach their kids is they say these things "are too complicated for children to understand"...really? REALLY?! Technically speaking, children can't understand opposite-sex relationships, I mean until you go through puberty, that stuff will only be something you can talk about but never really understand but nobody has a problem with little kids having boyfriends and girlfriends (as long as they're not of the same sex GASP!).

How is this any different then people saying, "Let's keep gay couples out of the public view because we don't want our kids seeing them holding hands and have to explain it." or "Let's keep cross-dressers in the closet so that we don't have to explain to our kids why certain clothes are considered gender-specific." or "Let's keep black people in "special homes" so that we don't have to explain why everyone isn't white."

These kids would be better off as orphans then suffering under their "parents".
