Can you imagine what someone like Peter Milligan, Neil Gaiman or Garth Ennis could have done with Gotham and its cowled protector with the shackles taken off? I'd buy it.
Imagine Scalped but with Logan thrown in the middle. That's the Aaron run i would have liked to see. Violent. Psychological. Brilliant.
Sex, intrigue and espionage with an adult bent. Vertigo could have, essentially taken Shang-Chi back to his 70's roots and still be considered 'adult.'
4. Black Widow
5. Wonder Woman
Mythology and magic have always been the backbone of the Vertigo line, so why not place the unchallenged queen of both within its adult framework? Humanize her, unleash the most bizarre and wild mythology on her you can and you have a sure fire winner. Well, maybe not, but i'd buy it.
This could be absolutely incredible. A real world Punisher. Forget Ennis' run, Max or otherwise. I want to see Brett Easton Ellis or Thomas Harris write him.
Come on! Can you imagine it!? It would be BRILLIANT! Put Ennis and Dillon on it. Who you gonna call? Ghost motherf#@king Busters. That's who.
9. Rip Hunter
There is a time spanning, historically beautiful epic just waiting to be written here. Hunter is a psychologically intricate character who could really draw people in. A man out of time, forever tied to it.
The great lost character of Marvels' amazing 70's run. Satana is everything Grant Morrison wakes up feeling sticky from. She is more Emma Frost than Emma Frost and if no other writer takes the chance with this one, i will happily wait an eternity in hell to get the chance to give her the story she deserves.
