@waezi2: Um, his ignorance being offensive? Where it came from was kind of in the statement.

From what I've seen, it's basically "what if DC was written by a ten year old".

The game was really well done in terms of story, the comic... considerably less so.

Superman asked Batman if he loved the Joker. That kind of idiotic crap is reserved for morons in Batman-spite threads, never in a published work.

Wouldn't buu have a shot here?

Buu's not evil, he's just mentally retarded and gets off on blowing stuff up.

@the_tree: With the Life Equation?

After reading Remender's The Dark Angel Saga, I'd be afraid of something called the Life Equation. Sounds too much like a Life Seed...which turned out not to be the best thing. ;)

Never ever compare the brilliant Fourth World to generic Remender crap O__O

pretty much all of them except for Aquaman, Swamp Thing, and Animal Man

None of whom required a reboot. Which is the irony of the whole thing. The very few characters that've done well were already set up for an easy revamp. Every other character has been destroyed.

Classic example being Aquaman

"oh the new Aquaman series is so great".

Aquaman was already given a revamped series months earlier, it failed. Most writers will be able to succeed if they get to freaking mulligan every time they screw up.

Blame that one the writer's inability to draw in enough readers to support the series. Success or failure of a titled series rests with the writer.

Your ignorance is offensive.

  • Maid of Honor (Justice League)
  • The Late Mr Kent (Superman: the Animated Series)
  • The Ties that Bind (JLU)
  • Shriek (Batman Beyond)
  • Perchance to Dream (Batman: the Animated Series)

One from each series, with a few personal favourites (not saying they're the best, just that I love them) to make things a bit different.

Geoff Johns Batman.

This.

Though it shouldn't even count as Batman.

"Very similar" aka "Firefly is a blatant rip off"

Firefly is still awesome though.

It's just not Cowboy Bebop.

Batman's a literary achievement as important to US cultural history as Sherlock Holmes or James Bond are to British.

Iron Man's a pointless character that acts like an unrepentant dick and is rewarded for it because he's "cool".

Say what you will about Batman, but he doesn't go after and assault his team-mates on the basis of them possibly stealing his tech, then leave them for dead.
