I liked EA's take on mma (technically Strikeforce mma+Randy).  It looked MUCH more fluid and detailed compared to UFC's mma game.

It was ok.  If it's the Hellboy, The Orphanage, and Pan's Labrynth director then how can you go wrong???

Yeah it looks like they simply merged MvC2 with TvC, which isn't a bad thing at all.  Chris seems to be the new Cable.  I'm absolutely loving Dante.  It would be nice to have Soki, Zero, and Thor as well.  I was kinda excited for Deadpool at first, but not so much anymore.  He just seems weird and off, plus I didn't see him really use any sword based attacks.

The Hollywood director/writer(s) took far too many creative freedom with this franchise.  The games are great, the movies are ok.  I'd go see it if enough friends want to go, but I'm not gonna initiate the trip to the movie to see it.

I think he could take both GSP and Mir.  I think GSP/Silva would look like GSP/Penn (Silva being GSP, and GSP being Penn) if that makes any sense.  The only people I see beating Silva is an opponent with one hit k.o. power (Rampage, Vitor, maybe even Rashad...maybe), or really large HW's because they're so powerful and have the obvious weight advantage.

Which is superfluous to what I had already said at that point. I know perfectly well why it would be a bad move for Silva - that was my entire point. Try to keep up.

Nope. I pointed out that Maia was obviously a better grappler, and that he therefor "had something" for Silva. How you take that as "cryin and carryin on" is beyond me.

Team One.  Dante, Ryu AND Vergil??? Bayonetta is powerful as s***, but I don't really see Kratos doing much.  He has decent magic and brute strength, but I don't see either of that playing a huge factor against either of the characters in team one.  Also Nero proved that he couldn't really do much of anything to Dante in DMC4.  Nero was enraged/blood-lusted fighting against a nonchalant Dante and couldn't really do much...but then again I don't think Vergil had access to his DT yet.  Anyways everyone from team one are ridiculously experienced and powerful. Bayonetta is supremely powerful in her own right, but yeah like someone else already said Kratos and Nero are going to bring her down.  They're not on her level.  I think either Kratos or Nero needs to be replaced with Sparda himself.

Also this is without taking the anime characters into consideration because I don't know who they are, or what they're capable of.

"Please explain what's so funny about it."

You ask why someone would engage an opponent where they had an advantage. You immediately follow this up by pointing out that the fight starts standing, where one fighter will usually have the advantage. I find this humorous.

Never sent you any PMs, might want to check your notification preferences. It has nothing to do with what I said in that it does not address the fact that Maia is better than Silva at grappling, which was my point. Maia clearly "has something" on Silva. That "something" is grappling.

Might have to break it down for yourself, since you are the only one having trouble understanding things here.

"   If a guy is superior on the ground, you're going to want to keep the fight standing.  If a guy's superior standing, you're going to want to take it to the ground.  It wasn't Silva's job to take himself down and throw Maia a bone.  If Maia wanted Silva down he should've taken him down.  Both men start off on the feet, it was up to Maia to get Silva off his.  "

I never said anything about Silva throwing Maia a bone, or taking himself down. However, you managed to answer your own question about fighting where your opponent has the advantage again. "
Nah I understand completely, you're clearly not understanding.  Maia has the advantage on the ground, that's true.  Silva has the advantage on the feet, that's true as well.  It just so happens that no matter what Silva is going to initially have the advantage because a fight starts off on the feet, that's a fact.  All this stems from your comment about how you said Silva was afraid to engage Maia in a grappling match, and I told you why it was smart for him not to.

The last part I never said that you said that, I said it to make a point.  Like I said you're cryin and carryin on about how Silva was afraid to follow Maia to the ground, that's what lead to my statement about Silva throwing Maia a bone etc.  If Maia couldn't take Silva down then it's not Silva's job to voluntarily put himself there.  I'm not sure exactly where the miscommunication is coming from, but what I'm saying shouldn't be difficult to comprehend...sadly it is for you.

Ah poor Chuck.  I've never really been a fan of the guy, but I also never had anything against him.  I feel the same about Rich so the outcome of the battle was whatever to me, but did you see Chuck's abs??? I remember seeing Chuck with a keg, not abs.  The way he was looking physically I kinda thought that maybe he'd win.
