My bad I see Gurdian!, and wouldn't you consider Frank Castle a patriot, he's a Vietnam Vet and you know what his day/night job is? What about Nuke?

exactly. those two really made an impact on me......Cap Marv's because it was monumental at the time, and colossus.....well ditto.

I was a kid when Mar-Vell died , that's another reason it stuck on me! I still have the TPB!

Captain Marvel's death was one of the most iconic to me because he died from cancer, something none of the above died from! It really touched the real world more so than the other mentioned deaths, because cancer is a real world issue. Colossus would be next for me because he was one of my favorite X-men, and he gave his life to safe mutant kind from the Legacy virus. Truly earth shattering!
