Now THIS is the Batman that Kevin Smith should be writing. I love Smith, and it's always bummed me out that his Batman runs were so mediocre while all of his other comic book works were great. I'm totally psyched for this. Snoogans.
@TheManInTheShoe Singer was planning to use Quicksilver before Whedon was, Marvel just announced that he was appearing in Avengers before Singer announce he was going to be in DOFP. His role in X-Men is supposedly not very big (think Darwin from First Class) and he's probably serving as Magneto's son in DOFP. As far as anyone can tell, it's completely coincidental that both guys wanted to use that character. Singer's said that Quicksilver is integral to the plot of this movie, and he's obviously going to be an Avenger, so I'd just try to think often as two characters.
Called it! I hope Johns stops underwriting Batman finally. I know people are tired of seeing Batman everywhere, but I'm more tired of him being poorly written. I'm also hyped for David Finch's art. Johns writing a story all about villains is the best decision he could've made creatively.
