Marvel doesn't have enough of them like they don't have enough of any superhero of different races.I love all these heroes though especially Armor and Psylocke.
I agree with Vance, not enough super hero characters of different ethnicities. Or villains. They should try a team like the Great Ten over in DC. I think they are pretty awesome anyway...
Last time I checked two asian people who had a baby made an asian baby.So since Nico's parents are both Japanese...I would assume Nico is also Japanese.
Black: Black Panther, Storm, Blue Marvel, M, Luke Cage
Hispanic: I guess when Spiderman was thought up could count...I guess
Native Americans: Theres a few such as Ech but thats the only main stream one I can think of. Also Warpath
There's way to many white heros and its actually kinda getting on my nerves reading Marvel Comics as a mixed blood youth. I feel kinda odd reading it while DC has tons of kick ass black heroes and other race heroes.
One reason there are so few Villians that are Black,Hispanic,Asain, OR native american. IS certain members of those groups of people get really pissed off, when they are portayed as villian
Even DC has to play a thin line with there villians of race. plus they dont use thos Black heroes as often
As for the hero aspect They cannot really make them sterotypes Warpath and forge are ok, but Marvel got huge backlash when Warpath's tribe was dug up as part of a storyline, and even for the character himself at times
Wolverine's son Daken is mixed blood. Canadian and Japanese.
It is my greatest hope that a Korean superhero can make it onto the pages one day. All we have is (I think) Grace Choice who used to be an Outsider and Amadeus Cho (Who they made into a white dude in Incredible Hulk).
You have to remember that nearly all comics started in the 40's and 60's were written by white/Jewish/ Italians guys they writing what they knew, because as the late great Dwayne McDuffie pointed out when both companies were trying to add color there can only be so many black guys on skateboards. Also and this just might be me you want to avoid stereotypical cliches

WHAT?! Asian men are so very sexy! I was wondering why there are no Asian male comic book heroes, myself.
Also, are there any characters of Korean descent? It seems that with the exception of Karma (who's Vietnamese), all of Marvel's (few) heroes of Asian backgrounds are either of Chinese or Japanese heritage.
I also take issue with how "whitewashed" the Asian gals look most of the time. I've seen so many images of Psylocke or Surge with big blue eyes.
