@Vance Astro: Attention-whoring does bother me, yeah. If someone needs to "Ask JoeBlow" something, it's called a PM.
But, let's assume for the heck of it each of these threads is valid. Like I said, there was 8 on one page, I'm sure there are others, and new ones started daily. Give them their own board, so as to not clutter the one they're on.
The only othernation-Americans are people with dual citizenship. Otherwise, pick one. And if being straight American isn't good enough, feel free to take the next plane outta here.
@The Poet: Near as I can tell, Thor's parents were both gods, so he's a god, which is much cooler than being a superhero. It's kinda like someone with a PhD being annoyed when they're referred to as Mr./Mrs. It's DR. Soandso.
If you're just into the reading part, buy trades or used comics.
If you're collecting, you're wasting your time. Books coming out now won't be valuable for I dare say 100 years or more, if then; more people are preserving their books now than they did back in Action #1 days.
yeah, figures of mythology could be called "heroes".
I haven't been able to figure out if Gilgamesh appeared earlier than thor...I have this feeling like he did but I'm not sure...
Technically, a "hero" is 1/2 god, 1/2 human. Like Hercules. And if I were a god, or a hero, I'd consider "superhero" an insult, because it's a downgrade from my birthright.
