This will be the first issue of Batman that I don't buy. Harper Row? I mean seriously, who gives a shit?

This will sound like a pretty generic topic, but I don't see much talk about the upcoming Rotworld arc that includes a tie-in between Animal Man and Swamp Thing. Who is excited for this? I'm thinking it's gonna to be Court of Owls good. Now that the prologue is over, I'm expecting some pretty strong storytelling.

@ShrimpDino: I really appreciate your rundown, but I was hoping for more of an explanation of what is actually happening, not a page by page description. I've read all three issues, but the story has confused me. Basically I want someone to tell me what it all means. You know?

I consider myself an intelligent person, although Dial H has been kicking my butt comprehensively for the past two months. Could someone please catch me up to what's happened in issues two and three? I'm finding it kind of hard to follow right now.

Great twist indeed. Loved it. :)

I loved Morrison's run but most people who did not kept saying that he was using too many obscure references to past comics. Now let's see how these people react when Snyder does it and expressly reference a Morrison idea.

Also, it just goes to show how much that whole "the New 52 is for new readers" was BS. ^^

I'm one of those who didn't like Morrisons run.

It wasn't that he was using obscure things from the old continuity but rather the way he did it. I still prefer Snyders writing.

I have to agree that I didn't like his run either. I may even go as far as to say that he is a little overrated -- I'm not saying it right now, but I may say it at some point.

Yes, he is. Behind Batman he is probably the most well known superhero. Whenever I see a average joe wearing a superhero shirt 7 times out of ten it is a superman shirt.

Drones wear Superman t-shirts.

Guys, I'm not complaining. Please don't think this is one of those "if you don't like it, don't read it" situations. I'm just curious if I'm the only one that feels this way. That can't be possible. I can't be the only person that thinks Superman has run his course. I understand where you're coming from though, both of you. I'm just hoping that someone can see where I'm coming from as well.

I think it is a "if you don't like it, don't read it" situation, because you are implying that you wish for Action and Superman to end. That will only happen if people stop reading his books. If others agree with you, then his book will be cancelled, if not then you are one of the very few.

Uhhh..yes.

Has anyone been reading SMALLVILLE Season 11?

Now those are Superman stories. Two issues in and it blows Superman's entire new 52 run out of the water.

It's really that good? Sounds interesting.

I don't want them to end necessarily, but a break is very much needed so that they can take a step back and a new and experienced creative team can put some good stories together.

@Kallarkz: I have to admit that I haven't read any of those. Maybe I should try them out. Obviously you recommend them.

If you don't like the book, fine, but his books sell and that's all that matters. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean others don't. People need to learn that taste vary.

That isn't the point at all. Taste is not the point. Obviously different people have different tastes.

I understand your point that with how long the character has been around you wonder if there is anything new to do with them or if your just spinning your wheels. In this case though it is not just another character, but Superman, who is more of an institution. In the end the sales numbers tend to show there are more than enough people who think it is worthwhile even after all these years

Ok I feel you, but the last time I checked: institutions become landmarks and once it has come to that, no one is allowed to fuck with it. So why all the constant changes? Also, if there were going to be changes, why can't they be good ones?
