I mean, it is entirely possible for Peter Parker to get resurrected. The revolving door of super hero death never stops. Naturally, Doc Ock can't last as Spider-Man.

I don't get the love for Neil Patrick Harris. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the guy or the schtick he usually pulls in his roles, but... He just doesn't sound like Nightwing to me. Maybe Robin. The way I see it, Nightwing should have more gravitas, a little more bite and a little less sass. His time in Bludhaven (at least to my eyes) instilled that in him. I don't know who I would choose to play Nightwing.

Jeremy Renner is a great actor (have we all forgotten The Hurt Locker? What about The Town? He was the best part of that movie!) and I think he will make a great Hawkeye once he's given the chance. Others have said it here before, and they're right: Hawkeye spent most of The Avengers as Loki's automaton, there was never a chance for Renner to show off.

A third time? I wish he had never played Batman at all. Seriously, easily the worst Batman ever.

Wow, a truly unfortunate lack of Cap appreciation in this thread. It seems to me that in modern day America, liking Cap is something most people are afraid to do at the risk of seeming like a bumpkin or something. Well, I'm here to tell you that there's nothing wrong with loving Cap and everything he stands for! He represents the best of America: truth, freedom, justice, mercy, standing up for the little guy... These are all things we should be able to get behind! He represents not the occasionally overbearing, usually misguided America of today but the America of yesteryear and everything it stood for. Stand up, Cap appreciators! Fly your flag proudly! I do, and I'm not even American! I can just appreciate what Cap stands for.

EDIT: Oh. I guess I should respond to the thread's question. Well, I've never been a fan of Cyclops (he's always had a real air of arrogance to me). Wasp, because she just seems so goddamn useless, both as a person (in that she is never involved in any emotional arcs of import) and as a heroine (you get real small! Congrats!). There are other folks, but generally if I have no respect for a character, I have no interest in them either, and when that happens I tend to forget everything about them, including their names. Oh! The entirety of the Fantastic Four. Richard Reed is a dick, Invisible Woman's powers extend far beyond what's on the label, the Human Torch is... Well, okay, he's kind of okay I guess. The Thing is just a poor man's Hulk. Yeah. Eff those guys.

Having read all three of the books mentioned in and around the OP (The Killing Joke, The Dark Knight Returns, Joker), I have never ever been under the impression that Joker was or is a rapist. Anyone who does is reading what they want to off the pages as opposed to what is actually there.

Her jugs seem too big. Also, I was more interested in your other thread after reading the OP, so I backtracked and found it. Sort of. It's gone now, but the people complaining about the nip-slip are still around. Perhaps dial back your boob fascination on this one. Don't get me wrong, I like boobs too--one might even say I'm a connoisseur. Regardless, there are some sensitive folks on this site, so yeah.

EDIT: For reference, here's an image of Psylocke from the era in which you're attempting to depict her. Notice that her hips are in fact more exaggerated than her bust.

@batshrine: I'm not forgetting the significance. I totally acknowledge the series' importance both to a young generation of future comic book lovers as well as to DC as a whole. It is absolutely seminal and I'm sure was mindblowing during its heyday (well, I might argue that the foley work was terrible by any standards, but I concede that that's a relatively minor nitpick for most folks)... I just don't like it. Other than the aforementioned voicework, I just can't get excited about it.

@BatWatch: Perhaps! I'm likely to get crucified for this, but I don't have a great fondness for the animated show either. To my eyes, the animation is choppy and whoever the foley artists were need to be taken out back to the shed. I like the voices, don't get me wrong--Kevin Conroy is the Batman in my eyes, and Hamil as Joker is always a treat, it's just... Everything else about the show that I dislike.

Anyway, I would say if you think a rewatch might disenchant you some, avoid it. Don't spoil the good memories.

Maybe this is one of those "you had to be there" things, because, well... I watched MOTP for the first time a couple nights ago, and I wasn't impressed. Especially when you have other options out there, like The Dark Knight Returns (easily my favorite animated Batman movie) and even Under the Red Hood.
