hellboy movies. avengers. ledger was great. at the time. but down the line someone will surely replace him.

The Hellboy movies? Seriously? They're not even close to the Dark Knight. The Avengers matched its commercial success, but not its critical acclaim.

It will be a very long time before another Dark Knight comes along.

Maybe Superman vs. Batman?

Knocked it out of the park, man. Zero criticism, and I'm not usually one of those who posts in these threads with nothing but meaningless praise.

Okay well, maybe Batman's feet are a little too close together in that one panel where he's supposed to be running. Doesn't impart a great sense of movement.

This is bad.

Good effort, Veshark. These look quite nice. Of course, there are things that could be tightened up here and there, but I'm sure you know that. One thing in particular that jumped out at me was Cap's jawline in the first image. I feel like it should be a little sharper, and the edge of his cowl should be further forward on his cheek. The way it is now, his face looks too round... Almost plump. Still, as I said before, good effort.

@cezar_thescribe: What are you even trying to convey with that series of image macros? It's like you just Googled "internet memes" and posted the first three results.

@sinestro_gl: That is a terrible way to determine whether a character is street level or not. Literally the only thing that addresses is the durability of the hero, and that is far from the deciding factor for which power tier they occupy.

@lone_wolf_and_cub: But Lex is just a man at the end of the day, regardless of his feats. If you apply the same logic you're attempting to put on the Dark Knight, then they are equals simply by virtue of not having super powers. I agree that it's a stupid argument to make, but you perpetrated it, not me. I was just following your line of logic.

@lone_wolf_and_cub: The same Killer Croc who transformed into the Hydra and nearly leveled Gotham? The same Killer Croc who is now leading the Religion of Crime? I don't understand where you're even coming from with that post. Are you trying to say that because Batman's villains aren't all incredibly powerful extraterrestrials that he only qualifies for being a street level? Because, if so, I'd like to point you to Superman's most frequent and egregious antagonist, the one, the only, Lex Luthor.

Guess that means Supes is street level too, huh?

@billy_batson: Ohhhh come on. You're not really going to trot that out, are you? The Joker is "just a man" in the same way that Batman is "just a man."

That is to say that they're not just men. There's something more. This has been hinted at several times in the Bat books.

@billy_batson: Not really, no. He has the cars, bikes, planes, ships, cycles, rockets, power armor, gadgets and just about everything else you could think of. Should he have all that? Maybe not. But he does. Read up on the current Batman run (or even stuff beforehand) and really pay attention to some of the wild stuff he uses in almost every issue. It's nuts.

@allstarsuperman: But... Bruce Wayne does have millions of dollars invested in charities, orphanages and other good causes the world over. Batman has created and used suits of armor in the past (once recently, as well), but as I've said before, the Batman is crazy. He doesn't eschew the use of powered armor because he doesn't know how to make it or fight in it, but because he likes the physical punishment of fighting a fair fight.

EDIT: As for the last part, Batman has always been paranoid and keeps what he perceives to be dangerous information close to the chest (which is pretty much everything in his eyes). Changing that would fundamentally alter the character. Which is a bad thing.
