Lorna Dane was rescued by Iceman from an attack from Mesmero to all the latent mutants. After that, she stayed with the team until she decided that as a mutant her place was with them. Second woman to join the X-Men.
Alexander Summers is Cyclops brother who was constantly being trapped in harm due to his connection to the X-Men. He joined the X-Men when Charles Xavier returned from his apparent death and asked him. They were preparing from an alien invasion from the Z'nox.
Part of Professor X secret X-Men team. One that was recruited to rescue the original X-Men from Krakoa. A team that was brutally killed in action. Professor X kept this as a secret an even erased Cyclop's memory to not remember this.
Petra was also a member of the secret X-Men group. She could control earth.
Darwin is the only character from this team that survived and is still part of the X-Men family as a member of X-Factor investigations.

When Professor X contacted him he was working for the government of Canada, Charles asked him for his help and Wolverine who was tired of working for the government resigned and joined the X-Men.
Sean Cassidy had met the X-Men before of joining this new team, they fought as enemies due to the fact that he was mind controled. Later Professor X asked him for his help and he agreed to the join the X-Men. He didn't stayed long since he felt akward sometimes since all the X-Men were much younger than he is.
When Professor X found her she was in Africa being praised as a goddess due to her weather controling abilities. Charles explained her that she was a mutant and not a goddess and offered her a new life, she accepted and joined the X-Men.
Sunfire had a deep hate for the western world, he even fought the X-Men once when he planned an attack in New York, nonetheless Professor X looked for him to be part of the X-Men, Shiro accepted in a way of redeeming himself. Since he couldn't play well on a team, he quit short after making him something of an honorary member.
He was working in his family farm when he first met Professor X who offered him a spot in the new team. Piotr accepted despite he had a happy life in the farm, since he felt that he should use his powers for a greater good.
Thunderbird was an Apache, when Professor X found him he only accepted as a way to prove that the Apache man is better than the white and were not cowards. The oldest and greatest villain of the X-Men. At one point Magneto was looking to redeem himself and even subjected himself to a human trial. Charles Xavier who was dying asked Magneto to take over his role as the X-Men leader and New Mutants headmaster, he accepted since he felt it like he owed his friend. Charles was taken by Lilandra who would heal him with Shi'ar technology. He quit the X-Men after one of his students died in a mission, who couldn't live with that and exiled himself in Asteroid M. He is now part of the X-Men again, this time as a field combatant.
Elizabeth Braddock is a British mutant who was captured by Mojo and eventually crossed her path with the New Mutants, when she was freed she stayed in the mansion to be around other mutants and maybe learn to handle her powers. She proved her worth when she defeated Sabretooth and Wolverine told her that if she wanted she could join the X-Men.
Original from Mojoworld, Longshot is an alien warrior and the second member of the X-Men to not be a mutant. After being involved with the X-Men against a battle with Mephisto he was invited to join them since they thought at the time that he was a mutant like them. He is now part of the X-Factor investigations.
She had met the X-Men for a very long time before she joined them. She was always worried for her singing career, but when she was attacked and possesed by the villain Malice and rescued by the X-Men she decided it was her time to take an active role as a mutant.

Later many mutants were captured in Genosha and she joined Wolverine and Psylocke in a mission to save them. After that she was given membership to the newly reformed X-Men.
Ha traveled in time going after Fitzroy, a mutant terrorist from his time. He landed next to the X-Men and was shocked to see the people he grew to know only as legends. The X-Men didn't really trusted him at the beginning, but it was Professor X that invited him into the ranks of the X-Men, which he accepted as it represented an honor to him.
Revanche is the one that changed bodies with Psylocke. When she first appeared she claimed she was the original Elizabeth Braddock. As neither Wolverine senses, nor Professor X telepathy could tell which one was telling the truth, they allowed her to stay, she eventually became a full X-Man. Until she died from the legacy virus.
Before being an X-Man, he was the leader of the New Mutants and leader of X-Force. The first of the young X-Men to graduate into a fully operational X-Men.
Joseph is a clone from Magneto. But when he joined the X-Men they thought it was in fact Magneto with his memory erased. They let him join thinking that in this way they would get rid of one of their greatest enemies and gain a powerful ally. He later sacrificed himself saving the world from the real Magneto.
Cecilia Reyes kept the fact that she was a mutant hidden, until Operation Zero Tolerance began and her secret was leaked. She joined Iceman and Marrow in a mission, when they returned to the mansion she operated on Cyclops and gained her spot in the X-Men. She didn't stayed long with them.
She was also part of Iceman's team during Zero Tolerance. Iceman offered her a spot in the X-Men due to her abilities, she wasn't interested but accepted anyway for a promise she made to Callisto. She was never comfortable with the X-Men, she felt they were to different from the life of a Morlock she was used to.
Maggott had an encounter with Magneto in his childhood, so he was looking for him. He crossed his path with the X-Men when he thought Joseph was Magneto. This got him involved in the Gambit Trial and returned with the X-Men to the mansion after that, he was offered a spot and accepted. He didn't stayed for long.
Thunderbird III first crossed paths with the X-Men when he was attacked by Bastion and the Prime Sentinels, this attack trggered his latent mutant powers. He was offered a spot by Jean Grey. Neal acepted and was part of the X-Treme X-Men.
Long time ally of the X-Men and son of Cyclops. He joined the X-Men for a short time. Has been part of occasional X-Men teams through time, never as a constant member.

Emma Frost AKA The White Queen, long time member of the Hellfire Club and enemy to the X-Men, after her Hellions were killed she looked for a way of redeemed herself and joined Banshee in teaching the Generation X, a group og young mutants, she then went to Genosha to continue as a teacher when the infamous attack by Cassandra Nova killed millions of mutants, she survived thanks to the manifestation of her secondary mutation, after this she oficially joined the X-Men. She now serves as one of their leaders.
The mutant with a star as a head. He was first saved by the X-Men from a prison were he was kept. He joined them when he was looked for his healing capacities, he soon became a teacher in the facility.
The first of the younger generation of X-Men not to belong to the New Mutants to be granted a spot in the X-Men. When Generation X disbanded, Professor X offered Jono a spot in the X-Men, but he rejected it. He returned to London and was found by Wolverine, Iceman and Nightcrawler, he eventually accepted.

An unofficial and self proclaimed member of the X-Men. Nonetheless he had served with them several times and even had a uniform to prove it.
She first got into the mansion posing as one of Gambit's students, Foxx. After she was discovered she asked for a spot in the X-Men, since there were so little mutants left on the world from M-Day, they accepted to have her in a probation basis. She joined Rogue's team and later betrayed them.
The brother of Thunderbird, the first X-Man to die. He worked as an ally for the X-Men, as a member of X-Force and X-Corp. He finally joined the X-Men when Professor X was forming a team for a interstellar mission.
An indian turned into a Prime Sentinel. She was offered a spot in Rogue's X-Men team and accepted. She quit after being possessed by Malice and unwillingly betrayed her team.
The daughter of Mastermind. She joined the X-Men also on Rogue's team after she was rescued from Pandemic and proved her worth in helping htem defeating it. But she alongside Mystique betrayed the X-Men.
He also joined the X-Men on Rogue's team. He was fleeing from The Children of the Vault and looked for sanctuary with the X-Men. Rogue put him on her team but controled him with nano sentinels.
A student from the institute. She was practically forced to join the X-Men as she was trapped in an alien world with them. Wolverine instructed her and she adopts the codename Armor, has being a member ever since.
An alien who was part of the Starjammers. She was stucked on earth, so she decided she should be part of the X-Men.
A secret member of the X-Men. Not much is known of her.
A once student in the Xavier school. She oficially joined the ranks of the X-Men after she was attacked by the Hellfire Cult.
