Winter Wear.. Do Super-Heroes modify their costumes for the cold?

Spandex and skin tight apparel is hardly winter wear, while I suspect masks help shield wind chill, the same can not be said for skin tight costumes, an example of this was mentioned in a Spider-Man novel, where Spidey wore a 90's style Avengers leather jacket over his costume to help stay warm, though still felt like he was freezing due to the thin fabric of his costume. In general super-hero costumes seem designed for flexibility, not warmth. Any theories on what the heroes do to stay warm during the winter months?

In some older Spider-Man comics, Spider-Man getting sick from swinging around in the cold was a actually a plot point. He ended up wearing a sweater and earmuffs over his costume.

^ First thing that popped into my head when I read the OP.

@ssejllenrad: All that was missing was Spidey in his FF costume.... I wanted to throw in an image of one of the arctic Batman action figures myself, but oddly could not find one

What gets Emma through the winter aside Scott for that matter?

They do once they're made into action figures.

Yeah I had a couple cold weather Batman figures from the Batman the animated series line and Legends of Batman line, plus a Batman and Robin anti-freeze armor batman or some such nonsense... In the last episode of Batman The Brave and the Bold animated series they referenced one of those horrible white costumed cold weather Batman toys... It was funny as hell if you owned the toy

In Watchmen when going to the snowy base of Ozymandias, Nite Owl put on snow specific wear but Rorschach turned it down.

People always wonder how Emma's boobs stay in place; but I think a more important question is how she doesn't get hypothermia.

I always figured they just sucked it up.

But seriously, they should address the winter dress situation. It'd actually be kinda cool to see some heroes alternate outfits to accommodate for the change of seasons.

Well some heroes don't really have to worry about it like Firestorm, and Ghost Rider.

But I thought the others kind of like, maybe, stuffed a bunch of those lil hot sacks in their costumes.
