@cmaprice:
Their entire marketing campaign has been bold. The first two movies were advertised with just the no-ghost symbol. How they had the ghost holding up two fingers? That was too perfect! Just a "3" is the way to go.

I know my handle makes me biased right off the bat but hear me out, hahah....
Dan Ackroyd... As much as I love him he can still be hit or miss. If he wrote the treatment for GB3 solo I'd be a little worried. Not to say the guy isn't a genius. In fact everything that I've loved about the last two movies was his direct contribution (GB science, packs, traps, the occult histories of things) but Ackroyd also has a long career in films where his best work is as a duo with other comedians...
Try naming a great Dan Ackyord movie where he wasn't paired with an equally talented comedian! Ya can't do it!

I think I can say either way that I'm really excited about this. Whether there is a strong enough appetite for a new Ghostbuster film or not there will never be a better time than now. With the right marketing the public can develop the type of appetite the studio wants.
And as far as new Ghostbusters goes... It just seems like the only direction to go. I really can't see these men busting ghosts at 60...

I like that this is coming out under Marvel's ICON label.
Regardless of the hype over if Nemisis is a Joker/Batman rip off or a homage the fact remains that this character was inspired by a mad man and Mark Millar will have an incredible amount of flexibility to explore the more graphic aspects of this character's personality and habits.  If you've been seeing what Brubaker has been getting away with under ICON with his Criminal and Incognito titles then you'd understand why this is something to be stoaked about.
I think this teaser image is making a promise for violence and obscenity that Millar couldn't push for under a regular Marvel title. Makes me wonder why Marvel is deciding to alienate it's younger audience when they're using their most popular creative team.

" @Grim: "not a fan of the Rogues"?  I did emphasize how because of the characters and the dead Rogues, that's what made Flash deserve a Blackest Night tie-in mini-series.  I also mentioned that what I'm looking forward to is the Rogues kicking butt next issue and that I would've liked to have seen some of that this issue.  So my basic overall complaint was that they didn't appear enough in this book. "

There was a panel where Barry was remembering what Professor Zoom said in Flash:Rebirth "I have a resurrection of my own in the days ahead, Barry. Thanks to a good friend of yours." If Zoom was referring to Blackest Night as his resurrection do you think that means all these Black Lanterns have a possibility of coming back?

Starting off a big event with a huge explosion of some sort killing lots of innocent people... Doesnt that sound a bit familiar?   "

I couldn't agree more. Yawn.

I don't know how you could become finally burned out on events with Blackest Night and not during the constant milking which was Dark Reign.

This makes me feel uncomfortable... His skin looks like smeared bubblegum... Like smooth, melted wax.
Awkward.

Eating crackers? LOL
I'd hope more is going on besides cracker eatin'.

I think she's fairly attractive. She doesn't fit the typical mold for what a female lead should be but she's definitely cute in a peculiar way and she's not anorexic which is a plus!

@Chinaski: Stephen King did a prequel story already called The Little Sisters of Eluria or something like that... It wasn't that bad... but it wasn't that good either. It was definitely a decent story but Roland wasn't anything like what he would become later in the series.
