My Pull List

As of now, this is not my full list. I will be adding to it once some of DC's New 52 get their own pages here on the site. The only one I'm waiting for is James Robinson's Justice Society. That first issue cannot come soon enough!

List items

  • I was hesitant to pick this book up, considering it's one of DC's "dark" titles and I'm usually not a fan of darker books. But when my shop put up a sign that guaranteed I will like this book or my money back, I had to try it. I cannot wait for what's in store for Buddy Baker in the future.

  • My introduction to this character was in my favorite comic series 52. Afterwards, not too long ago, I found Greg Rucka's Batwoman run on Detective Comics at my local used book store for 50 cents each. I couldn't pass that up. Needless to say, it was great and I fell in love with the character. It's off to a great start. The art alone would sell me on this book any day.

  • Hawkman has always been one of my favorite DC characters, so I was pretty happy to hear that he'd be a part of the New 52. Although I was a little skeptical because I had heard some not-so-good things about Tony Daniel, I was very happy with the first issue. The art and writing work great together to create a very fun story.

  • I wasn't planning on picking this up until I found out it would connect to Earth-2. The story isn't fantastic, but it's a good read for someone (like me) who does not know a lot about the character.

  • With James Robinson being one of my favorite writers, I had to pick this up. Just recently, I read the first Starman omnibus, so I know a little of the character. I'm looking forward to whatever James has up his sleeve and the slew of artists to come.

  • Although I prefer DC a whole lot more than Marvel, DD will always be my favorite comic character. So far, Waid and Rivera have been a dream team on this title.

  • I've been on the fence with series since Phil Hester left. It's been OK, but I don't feel that it's a 4 dollar story. And yet, whenever I see a new issue the shop, I feel compelled to pick it up. So I finally broke down and added it to the list. I hope the story starts to pick up with the new 6 issue arc they have planned.
