Several years back, I shouted from the highest messageboards that Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting's Captain America would be the best comic on the stands. Of course, I was right.

I enjoyed the Millar and Hitch run, actually, but they both didn't get what makes the team special, and it wasn't as good as the great fill-in arcs by McDuffie and Pelletier. Dale Eaglesham looks to be the modern day definitive artist like Epting was for Cap. Look at the Kirby influence.  Millar and Hitch tried too hard to be "modern", and a series like the FF could never do better than tapping into the grandeur and spectacle of the big world the FF have to explore. Eaglesham does that. I LOVE Alan Davis.  One of the best ever FF artists, and my 2nd favorite current artist.  It's good to see him doing covers, BUT I'd rather Eaglesham do his own!

Those preview pages at the end of select comics look incredible! Mark my words!  THIS WILL BE THE BEST COMIC ON THE STANDS!!!

Bendis is good with ideas sometimes.  Not sure what to think.  I don't want shock value stuff or changes for the sake of them, as he's done in his comic work, but we'll see.

"I wouldn't mind seeing more comic talk on these boards.  I'm not really a fan of the battles or rpg's.  No offense.  I usually have to do my comic talking at other forums but I like the look here better.  It's easier on the eyes.
As far as this story goes, where does it fit in with Doom's current predicament in Fantastic Four?  He's locked up for killing the future Sue Richards.  Obviously he'll get out.  So does this take place before, after or is it another Doom-bot.  He hasn't really used those as much as he used to.
"

It'll be interesting to find out how this fits in with Doom.  I'm guessing he would not be dunb enough to personally visit Dracula on the moon, so that might be a Doombot.

Hey everybody

This is my first post here, so I figured I'd jump right in and talk about what I'm very interested in at the moment. This is one great series, written by Paul Cornell and drawn by Leonard Kirk, but unfortunately, the market is flooded, and not enough people are reading this.

It's got a GREAT premise for a storyline coming up! It's called Vampire State, and it features the combined villiany of Dracula and Dr. Doom in cahoots with eachother from Dracula's lair on the moon. THE MOON!  Apparently he's planning a little invasion of Great Britain, and wants to form an alliance with Doom.

Read all about it from writer Paul Cornell.

He also did a recent podcast where he talks about the series.

It's a crime that in today's market, great comics like this don't get enough exposure, so myself and some others are trying to raise awareness of this.  Spread the word!  You'll see me post this elsewhere!  Read Captain Marvel and MI:13!  Dr. Doom and Dracula ON THE MOON plotting and scheming a vampire invasion? What's not to love?  This has got to be one of the most interesting high concept story in many years.

 It comes out February 11th.
