I don't love it, but I do like it more than the original. His original look is just stupid, because it's a parody of that extreme 90s Liefield-esque trash that some people think looks cool for some reason.

I can't list my favorite without also listing my host hated.

Anyway,

Favorites:

DC: Sinestro. Sometimes I love him, sometimes I hate him. Even when I hate him though, I can always empathize with him on some level. Just a great character.

Marvel: Has to be Spidey. And not even exclusively Peter Parker, just the character of Spider-Man in general, including Miles Morales and Doc Oc. Even when I went through a period of not buying any Marvel, I was still buying most of the Spider-Man stuff.

Most disliked:

DC: Guy Gardner. I really, really hate his hick ass. I can't even look at his face. I find it hard to read Corps. because of him.

Marvel: Tony Stark. Mostly because with the success of the movies, the comic Iron-Man has come to resemble the d-bag personality of Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, which I hate. Also, I can't help but remember his role in Civil War every time I encounter him.

Actually a large percentage of this thread is for equal rights, and is saying how feminism is tainted by extremes, and how sad that is.

So yah you should read the thread.

As many others have stated, the word feminism has been warped by a very large group of extremists. Everyone wants equal rights, but the line between superiority and equality is very thin so of course people will use this word to further their agenda. I want equal rights for everyone, but I would never call myself a feminist.

Except that it isn't, and it's this misinformed belief that there's some sort of extremist element of feminism that undermines the movement.

Opponents generally don't understand the concept that women (or pretty much anyone that isn't a white male) do not have equal standing in society with men. Or, they are driven by fear that the advantages they lucked into by being a male will be taken away. And finally, maybe they just don't understand that discrimination towards women is more than about laws or rights, it's about altering the attitude that has developed over thousands of years of patriarchal societies that men are somehow more valuable to society.

On another note, I forgot what it was like to discuss issues like this with people who have no background knowledge on the matter.

I don't even need to read this thread to know that a bunch of ignorant people who have no idea what feminism is and probably believe women are already treated equally in modern society.

For the record though, feminism promotes equal rights for all genders, ethnicites, sexual orientations, etc. If that's not something you support, then you probably need to reevaluate your life up to this point.

While the multitude lf tie-ins may not have been the best option, some have actually turned out pretty decent. Personally, my favorite thus far has been Batman and Robin. How the Joker is written is spot on for me, but what really makes this tie-in amazing is the artwork. My second favorite issue of The New 52 was B&R; #15 simply because of the artwork. B&R; #16 Was really good as well, with the only dead spot being how the "Batman" was convienetely just some karate guy (unless he's a character from somewhere else, which I'm not familiar with). But overall a great tie-in. What about you guys? Any tie-ins that really stood out, or that you at least liked?

Yeah, Batman and Robin has been my favorite tie-in as well. The story and interactions between Robin and Joker seemed to fit in with the vibe of the Batman DOTF stuff much more naturally. I agree 15 was better than 16; it was pretty obvious for anyone that has been reading any of the other DOTF books that it wasn't really Batman he was fighting, and knowing that from the beginning made the fight less engaging for me. I was just waiting for the reveal that it wasn't Bruce the whole fight.

I think Caul will probably end up crossing paths with Stealth and Ric Starr and form some sort of team.

Also, I really loved the back up story. Larfleeze narrating his own personal Chronicle was pretty hilarious.

"In the beginning, there was Larfleeze..."

I'm only reading Batman/Robin, Batman, Nightwing and Batgirl..

So far so good.

That's all I've really kept up on as well and I feel the same way.

Well, it's not a single hero, but Odym, the home of the Blue Lantern Corps would be pretty cool to live on.

I might need to pick-up that issue of Superior, as I loathe Wolverine with a passion and seeing those panels was a great emotional release for me.
