I'm sticking with Amazing. Avenging is just a new version of Marvel Team Up (featuring Spider-Man &.... )

I agree that Peter could lead a team. His goofy mannerisms are overly emphasized in the Avengers thanks primarily to BMB who can't seem to make him the serious person he can be. His one liners are used to aggraviate his opponents (and to try and create levity with his teammates). He is every bit as intelligent as many of the Avengers former brains (Stark, Pym, etc) and he has way more experience working with the various heroes (both big and small) and is smart enough to play up their strengths to cover any weaknesses.

As for him needing to be in Avengers, nope. 1 book is enough.

If she lost the cape and the gauntlets I'd say it was ok, but they just kill it for me.

There is a vast difference between the two characters and why May "succeeds" vs Anya's "fails". Firstly, let me say I love both characters. The comparisons however are not fair.

May has the luxury of being a legacy character. She is Peter's daughter, has him, his cast, her cast & the rich history to fall back on.

Anya is an original character that has to make ties and create her own history. I have liked all of Anya's series and when they came to an end like where she landed in the interim.

I would gladly follow her in another book if it had the right creative time.

Wolverine is right. Everyone seems to forget, that children are the future. If you treat them like cannon fodder, there won't be a future. Wolverine is determined to protect the Future, which is what the Generation Hope kids represent.

Also, it's obvious that the adults (save Wolverine) are all sterile as none of them appear able to have kids (that was more of a joke, its because Marvel won't let them, it ages them).

I'm convinced Jason Aaron doesn't know anything about Wolverine.  His bones are laced with Adamantium.  Wolverine punching and headbutting Cyke in the face = incapacitated Cyclops.

As a long time spidey fan I am looking forward to this new version of Spider-man.  I never bought Tobby as Peter or Spidey, nor was I pleased they just glossed over Gwen until the 3rd movie.  I hope that this is every bit as good as X-Men First Class which has been my favorite comic movie of this year.
