I'll submit myself to 2-3 issues of torture at which point I stop collecting the title until they bring another writer in.
This problem is almost inevitable with long-running titles or characters. The publisher brings in different writers and artists to keep the title interesting or appeal to new readers. Sometimes it works out and other times not so much.
It's one of the reasons that some of my favorite books are those that ran about 60 or so issues and then ended by creator design.
I think Red Mist was way more enjoyable in the comic. Mintz-Plasse will always be McLovin' and there's nothing he can do about it. Having him play Red Mist just made me laugh.
