I can appreciate that we all have different opinions, but I must ask.. really?!

First of all I highly recommend reading Last Days of American Crime. Amazing read.

Secondly. To say he doesn't care about the characters is hogwash. Just because he is willing to shake up the status-quo doesn't mean he doesn't carea bout them. He has done things in his self contained series that Marvel would normally build an event around. That to me is AMAZING. Think about AvsX. a whole 12 issue crossover event dedicated essentially to the idea of killing a loved character. Worth it? no. But a single series really causing characters to expand, grow, that's what we should expect from every series.

What's the point in reading a book if you have that subconscious reassurance that no one but the bad guy will die? That's why I stopped reading.

I was born and raised a Marvel reader with an exception for the Bat. I could never jump into titles like Superman or Flash or even Justice League. I mean I knew the characters overall story but just had no jumping on point. After living with Marvels endless Events over the past 5 years this was EXACTLY what I needed. My pull list from Marvel has been drawn down to anything written by Remender and I pull about 10 DC books a month. Worked for me, I love it I can't think of anything else better.

As someone who actually really supports the New 52 and think it has done far more good than it has bad, this is DEFINITELY one of the bad. It is so terrible because Ollie is one of my favorite characters. In fact when I heard about the N52 all I could think is "He's getting ANOTHER reboot?" Granted the others were just renumbering but still. Excessive. For a character that WB seems interested in pushing mainstream with the show and all, it seems odd that DC didn't really do him justice. I think they tried WAY too hard to make him DC's Iron Man.

One thing's for sure. I think he would be almost like Namor and sort of side with the X-men. Or associate with them most. X-men are Mutants who are not accepted by society, Superman is an alien. Perhaps he would perceived as a mutant. That could actually be an interesting story line.... I kinda like that.

@Cafeterialoca: What a waste. So presumably that means no more solo titles like Wolverine, Deadpool, Hulk? Fail. just not at all interested.

@Cafeterialoca: Yeah I follow Remender but I couldn't find anything about what books he's leaving. His stint on Venom is up, too sad. So that leaves Uncanny X-Force, Secret Avengers and soon to be Uncanny Avengers. I presume they would ditch Secret Avengers after this. I can't imagine Marvel would be dumb enough to keep umpteen Avenger titles during a "relaunch". So if it all goes the way I assume it will, he will just be on X-Force, Uncanny Avengers and potentially Captain America (which I would then start reading). I tried looking at multiple sources but after finding the same articles I gave up. Perhaps I should have dug deeper. Haha. Thanks for the share though man.

@Cafeterialoca: How do you know what series will be replacing what? I haven't seen those announcements all I am praying for is that none of this affects Uncanny X-force or Venom. Like I LOVE Remender and I will get Uncanny Avengers for the sake of it being Rick but X-Force better not be affected or I am done with Marvel. I am already all but done because of these silly dumbass "EVENTS".

I'm with this guy. I REALLY want to start reading Hulk, I guess I could just jump into the monthlies but I am confused on why he is Red. I don't quite understand the color schemes. Is it something like the different stages of hulkout decide a different color?

I think the biggest weakness was them not explaining Banner's control over the Hulk. We have to assume that Hulk went on a rampage either because of Loki's influence, or because Banner finally lost control of his temper (and hence control of the Hulk). The movie needed a scene where Banner demonstrates that level of control.

I don't mean to argue, I felt that was pretty clear, at least to me. The way I saw it is on the Hellicarrier Banner and everyone else was pretty much pissed at one another, when it was attacked he hulked out from a culmination of the arguing, the attack and the fall, and since he was angry with pretty much everyone Hulk didn't spare anyone. Later after Banner explains that his secret is that he's always angry, he has a direct focus on the Chtari. So as someone who doesn't know the Hulk from anywhere but the movies I just interpret that as wherever Banner's anger is focused at is simply amplified by Hulk. Perhaps I am wrong, lol. I for one totally became a huge Hulk fan this week, I rewatched Incredible Hulk right before Avengers and I am ready to go out and pick up some Hulk comics!

My biggest complaint isn't so much a fault of the movie. It's more an annoyance I guess. Because the general audiences all LOVE Iron Man and Robert Downey it seems that he overshadowed the movie. Again I think this is more audience problem than the film itself. I took away a few things from this movie. Captain American may not have physical super powers, but his ability is heart and leadership. Without Cap he wouldn't have steered Stark in the direction of being a team player. Without Cap one could argue that after the attack on the Helicarrier they all would have disbanded. I guess there is some subtext and things that go unsaid that people don't appreciate about Cap that get completely lost when Stark pulls out a "Make a move Reindeer Games". See I love Cap for the very same reason that I love Batman. Strip away Batman's darkness and Captain America's WWII mindset they are still just regular guys out to make the world a better place at the cost of their lives. The sentiment in Batman Begins "I never said thank you." "You'll never have to" and Captain flying a plane into the frozen tundra that is essential and I feel should really be more appreciated. After a few conversations with people who don't have any ties to the comics at all, their only experience with Marvel U is through the movies and I heard the same thing "Captain is SOO boring" Really just stuck in my crawl. I thought he was executed nearly perfectly. I agree hearing him actually say "Assemble" would have made my day, specially since Evans texted that to everyone during filming.

The second thing I took from this movie is Hulk is amazing and I really feel the dire need to read some Hulk comics.
