The status quo upset can only last for so long. Hal will inevitably be a green lantern again and Sinestro will... Well, whether or not he'll be a yellow lantern, I dunno, but he'll screw something up.
That's stupid. Re-establishing the status quo does nothing to develop either character. It's been that way for what, 40 years, now? Has to be at least that long. That kind of attitude is part of why DC resets its universe every few years: so they can rewrite a bunch of backstories, streamline things, simplify them, and largely, start over from the same spot they've already been in.
I'm not reading through the entire thread, but I don't have to be a lawyer to point out that you're incorrect in assuming Daredevil's need to prove innocence. He actually would need to be proven guilty without shadow of a doubt to be convicted of criminal activities, because our law code assumes innocence and places the burden of proof on the accuser (this is very, very basic U.S. law that literally every citizen should know).
There's a reason why the odds to be murdered are 1 in 200,000, but the odds of getting away with murder are 1 in 2.
This could also have something to do with some other AoA that's coming. I'm pretty sure they're doing another one soon, right? I feel like I've heard that somewhere.
Really Marvel? Loeb didn't do enough damage to canon with his complete and utter destruction of 50 years of Hulk canon? You have to let him destroy another one of my favorite characters? Someone please tell me this is a joke. Someone tell me they're not doing this. Someone tell me they're doing a revitalization of Cable & Deadpool to coincide with Schism, and Nicieza's writing this. Someone tell me they're letting someone other than Jeph Loeb write Cable. Anyone. Please, for the love of God!
Why the hell do they keep letting Loeb ruin my favorite characters!? First Hulk, now Cable? I swear to God if they don't retcon Loeb's lobotomization of the Marvel canon I'm going to firebomb their offices. Two words that should never go together: Hulk Family.
The Dungeons and Dragons universe has a very interesting way of limiting the power of mages: a mage can only cast a certain number of spells per day before the mage's power is drained, and the mage needs to rest. Even the most powerful wizards follow that limit, although their ceiling is higher.
